On Saturday, December 6, WWE NXT will return with its latest premium live event, Deadline 2025.
With the two Iron Survivor Challenges and title bouts aplenty, this PLE will have all eyes on it to see how the landscape of NXT will change.
Considering this is the final major show of the year for NXT, there could be some surprises in the form of returns that will make this event stand out from the rest from earlier in 2025.
Here are six potential returns at WWE NXT Deadline 2025.
6. Noam Dar

A few months ago, Noam Dar was stripped of the NXT Heritage Cup after suffering an undisclosed injury that has kept him sidelined.
Dar is someone who has experienced some injury setbacks over the past few years that have stunted his growth within the promotion.
Proving himself in the company for the past nine years, Dar is one of the most skilled and talented in-ring competitors in NXT today.
Dar making his return at WWE NXT Deadline 2025 could immediately give him some momentum to rise up the ranks again upon his comeback.

Wendy Choo debuted on WWE NXT back in February 2019 and has played several different roles.
Now over in WWE Evolve, Choo has started to speak for the first time and has worked closely with the younger talent on the roster.
With years of experience in the ring and a distinctive character. Choo could get a second chance on the main NXT brand.
Choo could make her way back in time for WWE NXT Deadline 2025 where she might be in line for a similar role to what she had on Evolve, working with younger stars to help bring them up to her level.

4. Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde

In 2025, Rey Mysterio suffered a serious torn groin injury, while Dragon Lee started to team with AJ Styles and went on to win the World Tag Team Championships.
Meanwhile, Lee and Mysterio’s LWO stablemates Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde were left on their own before eventually finding some consistency in Lucha Libre AAA.
Working in Mexico, Wilde and Del Toro have proven to be a thrilling duo with their entrancing double team offense and spellbinding tag team work.
Looking to give them a second shot at becoming stars on American television, the former LWO members could be moved to WWE NXT where they could legitimately bolster the brand’s tag team division starting at Deadline 2025.

3. The Creed Brothers (Julius & Brutus Creed)

Getting called up to the WWE main roster at the tailend of 2023, it felt like The Creed Brothers were destined for tag team glory on Raw.
Prior to their main roster runs, Julius and Brutus Creed were standout prospects before eventually making their NXT debut and breaking out as a tag team.
Winning the NXT Tag Team Championship, The Creeds were showcased as bonafide stars from the minute they officially debuted together.
After being sidelined and absent from WWE television for months, The Creed Brothers could show up looking to get back in the NXT brand at Deadline 2025 where they could confront the current champions Dark State at some point.

During the recent AAA Alianzas taping, WWE’s Apollo Crews made his in-ring return after several months on the sidelines
Recovering from a torn pectoral muscle, Crews will be looking to re-cement himself on the roster no matter which brand he comes back to.
Considering his previous runs on the brand, it might be time for another stint on WWE NXT to get his footing back under Apollo after stepping back in the squared circle.
Crews could receive his biggest push on the brand that he has ever received following a memorable return or re-debut.

1. Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo has been one of the most consistently prominent stars on the WWE NXT brand over the past four years.
While he was always regularly highlighted on the roster, fans have not seen D’Angelo since July at the time of this writing.
Tony D’Angelo is someone with boatloads of charisma and has proven to be an impressive character worker.
Bringing a more eccentric character than the common star seen on Raw or SmackDown, Tony D might need more time before that move and could return to NXT at Deadline 2025 to insert himself back in the mix.
