With Pat McAfee taking time away from the WWE Raw commentary desk, Corey Graves has been filling in alongside Michael Cole.
Leaving a potential vacancy in NXT, there could be some intriguing options for known WWE names who could join Vic Joseph and Booker T at the desk.
Here are six potential replacements for Corey Graves on NXT commentary.
6. Big E
While Big E’s in-ring career seemingly has now come to a close, he has continued to be a lovable presence on WWE TV.
Appearing on pre-show and post-show panels at Premium Live Events, Big E brings a unique perspective that blends empathy with legitimate perspective into the current crop of talent.
Given his own history as a collegiate athlete, perhaps Big E could be a welcome voice on the NXT commentary team as well.
Bringing the power of positivity, Big E could be the perfect anecdote to the occasional (in-character) sassy exchanges between Vic Joseph & Booker T.

5. Naomi
Notable Florida native Naomi may be out of action at the minute but it doesn’t mean she couldn’t still make a big impact in NXT in the coming months.
After Naomi was pulled from a match on the August 11 edition of WWE Raw due to not being “medically cleared” coupled with the announcement of a joint appearance with husband Jimmy Uso on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast set to be released August 14 — fans are speculating regarding her status.
While there are still more questions than answers regarding Naomi’s potential inability to continue to engage in physical action on-screen — she may be able to lend her voice to commentary.
With Naomi continuing to do very compelling work and her character continuing to hit a stride in WWE – it might be fun to see her join Booker T and Vic on commentary for a short-term stay.

4. Paige
Another familiar face in NXT is the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion, Paige.
Going publicly by her real name Saraya, the WWE trailblazer finds herself a free agent as of late after departing from AEW in March.
While some fans were hopeful that the star would have made a return to action in WWE at the recent all-female PLE Evolution 2025 —no such luck.
Making the potential perfect addition to the NXT commentary team, Paige could lend her voice to the matches as well as potentially end up mixing it up with some of the women’s division in the process.

3. Nigel McGuinness
One potential addition to the NXT commentary team would definitely be worth the wait.
In April 2023, Tony Khan confirmed that Nigel McGuinness had signed with AEW.
Depending on the length of his current contract, it could mean that Nigel may potentially be available as early as next spring.
While fans continue to await whether or not McGuinness will remain in AEW, he has also returned to in-ring action in the company – which could change his plans for the future entirely.

2. Beth Phoenix
Ahead of WarGames 2021, NXT commentator Beth Phoenix announced that it would be her last NXT show on the call.
Previously having been an amazing addition to the NXT commentary team, fans still speculate if there could be a return in the future from the Hall of Famer.
With Beth Phoenix still a free agent after departing WWE at the end of her contract last summer, perhaps she could lend her voice again.
Bringing a veteran presence, Phoenix would be a fun call back to a different time in NXT even if only for a short-term stay at the desk.

1. Titus O’Neill
Always bringing a compelling performance when he is on commentary, Titus O’Neill has been busy as ever outside of WWE.
Starring in a Bravo reality dating series this summer called Kings Court, O’Neill has been making plenty of media appearances in support.
However, if the NXT commentary team were down a man – perhaps a great fit could be O’Neill.
Similarly to Big E, an injection of Titus’ power of positivity could be the perfect addition to the current NXT commentary line-up.
