While there are several WWE stars out of action at the minute, there are others that may be poised to return at Money in the Bank 2025.

From notable names who have been absent after big losses to long absent stars who were taken away from TV due to injury, there are a lot of potential returns set for the PLE.

Here are eight returns that could happen at WWE Money in the Bank 2025.

8. Travis Scott

WWE star John Cena and Travis Scott

With the main event of the show presumably poised to be the tag team match featuring John Cena & Logan Paul against Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso, there is definitely room for hijinks.

With potential shenanigans including Logan Paul’s goons trying to slide him some brass knuckles and perhaps even a sneaky Prime bottle mascot containing a surprise enemy, there are a couple of routes for chicanery.

However, with John Cena clearly being willing to do anything to win, perhaps Travis Scott will get involved once again.

After his appearance factored into the ending to WrestleMania 41 heavily and reports that Scott will have a match this summer in WWE, perhaps the long story is set to continue at Money in the Bank.

7. Bayley

WWE star Bayley

Bayley hasn’t been seen in WWE since she was victim of an off-screen attack and written out of WrestleMania 41.

Later, Becky Lynch would reveal that she was responsible for the attack and took out Bayley.

With Lyra Valkyria taking on Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank 2025, it would make sense to see Bayley potentially pop-up for some revenge on Lynch.

Ahead of Evolution coming up on July 13, it would seem that WWE could use all of the top female talent it can get for the celebratory event.

6. Roman Reigns

The biggest Bloodline star Roman Reigns hasn’t been seen in WWE since he was subject to an attack at the hands of Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker on the WWE Raw after WrestleMania 41.

Seemingly poised to return ahead of SummerSlam, fans have been patiently awaiting the return of Roman Reigns.

With Solo Sikoa and Seth Rollins in the Money in the Bank ladder match, there could be an opening for Roman Reigns to make an appearance.

Conversely, perhaps Reigns swerves into another set of fights between John Cena & Logan Paul and Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso.

5. Randy Orton

In the event that babyfaces need an extra set of hands at Money in the Bank 2025, maybe Randy Orton would be available.

Having last been in action at last month’s WWE Backlash 2025, a return from the Viper may be imminent ahead of the coming build to SummerSlam.

With the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match a potential point of return, it seems far more likely that Orton may pop-up surrounding the presumed main event tag team match.

John Cena will team with Logan Paul to take on John Cena and Jey Uso – seemingly the perfect place for Randy Orton to add a surprise return considering how his Backlash main event against Cena played out.

4. Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa

While Tonga Loa picked up an injury during the Survivor Series: WarGames match back in November 2024, he has yet to return to action.

Also missing from the new Bloodline line-up – Tama Tonga, after he was written off of WWE TV ahead of WrestleMania 41, reportedly related to a real life injury.

However, it seems that the Tongans could be nearing a return, so perhaps they will factor into the men’s Money in the Bank 2025 ladder match.

With Solo Sikoa in the titular ladder match, perhaps there will be some familiar faces making a run-in interference.

3. Ronda Rousey

While it seems a little unlikely, there is one reason to not rule out a return of Ronda Rousey at WWE Money in the Bank 2025.

Rousey headlined the first WWE Evolution event in 2018, and so perhaps both parties would be looking to have a re-do.

With Rousey documenting her training throughout 2025 – which naturally involves combat sports techniques given her background – fans have speculated that she could be training for a UFC or WWE return.

Ronda Rousey main evented the first iteration of Evolution in a singles match against another potential returning star in advance of Evolution 2025, Nikki Bella.

2. Ilja Dragunov

Ilja Dragunov has been out of action after sustaining an injury during a match with GUNTHER back in September.

While he suffered a torn ACL at a live event, he would go on to require surgery and rehab thereafter with reports he was making excellent progress.

However, reports continue to vary regarding exactly when to expect Dragunov back into in-ring action – while his return from injury could be occurring later in the fall, there remains no consensus.

If he is able to return to action, certainly Ilja Dragunov will be back in the mix ahead of the first ever two night SummerSlam.

1. Asuka

Since being out of action due to an injury in May 2024, Asuka is reportedly nearing a return to action.

With Evolution around the corner on July 13, it would make sense for the multi-time women’s World Champion to reappear ahead of the event.

While there isn’t an obvious spot for her to return at Money in the Bank 2025, there is a notable point that could make sense.

Given the result of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship bout, Asuka could look to complete a newer iteration of the women’s Grand Slam by capturing the IC Title for the first time by issuing a challenge.
