WWE Stars Removed From Money In The Bank 2025

With a limited number of matches on the WWE Money in the Bank 2025 card, there were bound to be some top names left out.

However, this PLE in particular, there are a number of names that are absent – be it from injuries to storylines, there were definitely some big names that ended up being removed from contention.

Here are five WWE stars that ended up not making it onto the WWE Money in the Bank 2025 card.

5. CM Punk

One star that fans were hoping to see hit the 2025 WWE Money in the Bank ladder match was CM Punk.

With the ability to make history as the only person to ever win the Money in the Bank ladder match three times, Punk was positioned uniquely to be an interesting pick for the match.

However, in the final triple-threat qualifier ahead of the PLE on WWE Raw, Punk ended up losing out on the opportunity as El Grande Americano instead was able to beat Punk and AJ Styles.

Since Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed have been so instrumental at picking at both CM Punk and another star not on the MITB card, Sami Zayn, perhaps a showdown between these two teams is being saved for a later date.

4. Liv Morgan

There are a few paths that Morgan could have taken to be featured at WWE Money in the Bank 2025, however none of them have come together.

While she is engaged in her own mini-feud with Roxanne Perez, the latter won her qualifying match and will instead be in the PLE’s titular ladder match.

As Morgan continues to hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Raquel Rodriguez, there was also a potential for her to make the card that way, but that also hasn’t been the case.

Since she and Rodriguez are also feuding with IYO SKY and Kairi Sane, perhaps that match will come at another PLE such as WWE Evolution on July 13.

3. Charlotte Flair

While she competed in a triple threat qualifier for the opportunity to be in this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, ultimately Charlotte Flair did not win.

Instead, the match was won by Giulia who defeated Flair and Zelina Vega.

While Charlotte has seen some on-screen interactions with Alexa Bliss as well as Tiffany Stratton after their WrestleMania 41 showdown, there hasn’t been any movement on establishing a singles feud.

Presumably poised to be on the card for Evolution in July, it remains to be seen what is in store for Charlotte Flair.

2. Finn Balor

Although he had a shot at making it into the Money in the Bank ladder match, Finn Balor was unable to win his qualifying triple threat against Sami Zayn and eventual winner, Seth Rollins.

Despite picking up a win with JD McDonagh recently over the War Raiders which made it appear that perhaps Judgment Day was set to take on the New Day at Money in the Bank 2025, no match was booked.

In fact, none of the WWE tag team titles are on the line at the weekend’s PLE.

Another star who isn’t in action for Money in the Bank 2025 – Balor’s potential future opponent – is the Intercontinental Champion Dirty Dominik Mysterio.

1. Zoey Stark

During a triple threat match on WWE Raw on May 19, Zoey Stark suffered an injury that required her to be pulled mid-match.

She was facing both Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane in a Money in the Bank qualifier, the latter making an in-ring return in the match for the first time since suffering her own injury in December 2024.

While Stark reportedly wasn’t planned to win her Money in the Bank qualifying match – rather with Rhea Ripley always set to capture the victory – there still could have been an appearance by the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion at MITB had the injury not happened.

All the best wishes to Zoey Stark in her recovery.
