With the marquee bout between Nikki Bella and Liv Morgan seemingly in question due to an injury to Morgan, WWE may be tasked with pivoting to a brand new storyline.
Whether for a singles match or an eventual tag team showdown with the return of Brie Bella, there has to be some kind of backup plan ahead for the landmark Evolution 2025 event.
Here are seven potential replacements for Liv Morgan in WWE right now.
7. Ronda Rousey
The first edition of WWE Evolution was headlined by Nikki Bella taking on Ronda Rousey.
With the latter posting on social media about in-ring training – primarily for fitness purposes it seems – Rousey is publicly back into combat action.
After having been previously vocal about her experience in WWE and feeling that had she had more specific time to prepare like Logan Paul, she could have had a different performance – maybe now would be a great time for Rousey to re-appear.
With a month out from the event, surely Rousey and Bella could actually begin working some behind the scenes magic in order to make this match work.

6. Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss
If Triple H ever had a time to pull the trigger on a long-rumored storyline, this would be the moment.
In a situation that a known heel is vulnerable after committing endless betrayals, there is no better time for the Wyatt Sicks to strike. If Nikki Cross were to attack Raquel Rodriguez and make it clear that the Wyatts were out to take the women’s tag team titles – you could end up with a double reveal.
Not only would Alexa Bliss have a reason to align with the Wyatt Sicks, to reclaim the titles alongside Nikki Cross – the Bella Twins could easily enter any spooky vortex and exit unscathed in the long term.
Placing the Evolution main event as the compelling Wyatt Sicks duo versus the Hollywood polished Bella Twins would bring a lot of eyes to WWE and set the stage for a fascinating summer to come.

5. Roxanne Perez
As Evolution was potentially set to feature the Bella Twins taking on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, Liv Morgan’s injury marks a tipping point for creative.
The easiest solution would be for Morgan to hand off her half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to new Judgment Day member Roxanne Perez and just keep the story moving.
With precedent in the past for this particular title to be subject to similar moves, simply inserting Perez could end up making the storyline far more relevant.
Perez would be able to reference her history as a fan of the Bella Twins, and flip the story into being about her and Rodriguez’s quest to block returning legends from stealing their spotlight.

4. Piper Niven & Alba Fyre
Depending on how long Liv Morgan is out of action, Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez could need to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and it could be an incredibly funny twist to see the title history disputed by Chelsea Green.
Green could argue that the titles should revert to being in the possession of herself and Piper Niven, arguing that they are the last active tag team who held the titles.
WWE higher ups could approach past title holders in order to solicit interest – with Becky Lynch & Lyra Valkyria and Bianca Belair & Naomi/Jade Cargill all declining to have anything to do with the matter in backstage segments.
That is until they would get to Alba Fyre since she previously held the titles with Isla Dawn, who could accept along with Piper Niven and NOT Chelsea Green. This could lead to the Bella Twins taking on Niven and Fyre instead for the tag team titles, with an entertaining and incensed Chelsea Green adding a tremendous amount to the storyline.

3. Blake Monroe
Since technically Blake Monroe is still set to sign her WWE contract on NXT, it would be a tremendous swerve to have her pull an on-screen coup.
If she were to decline the contract as presented and rather note that she deserved to be going against “far bigger stars”, it could easily pave the way for a showdown between Blake Monroe and Nikki Bella.
Making the NXT debut of Blake Monroe into a huge fake-out would not only make headlines, but it would make history and pave the way for a potential main event for the upcoming Evolution PLE.
Imagine Blake Monroe’s WWE debut ends up being a singles bout against Nikki Bella at Evolution…

2. Charlotte Flair
While it seems a little random, if there needs to be a deviation in plans for WWE Evolution, perhaps Charlotte Flair can fill in.
Given her mainstream name recognition, Flair could provide a boost to Nikki Bella’s feud heading into the event, providing a counter narrative to the “women’s evolution”.
Able to center the feud on more of a generational contribution argument, there could be a way for Flair to re-launch herself as a heel character, taking on a returning legend and becoming a female legend killer.
She’s beaten the likes of Trish Stratus in the past, and Nikki Bella could be another legend to add to the list.

1. Natalya & Maxxine Dupri
If there is a hiccup in the WWE women’s tag team division at the minute due to the injury of Liv Morgan, Triple H could move on to another team.
Since there are very few women’s tag teams on WWE Raw, it would make sense for the newly minted Dungeon Dolls to grasp the opportunity.
With Natalya and Maxxine Dupri recently cementing their partnership, it would be intriguing to see the pair tangle with the return of the Bella Twins.
Able to easily segue into a program that could be quite emotionally compelling – with Natalya having remained in WWE, mentoring young wrestlers like Maxxine whereas Nikki and Brie defected for Hollywood acclaim – the eventual tag match could become even more interesting for Evolution.
