While AEW has slowed on signing former WWE talent in 2025, there could be some big name legends for Tony Khan to consider.
From those who have already made their debut appearances in AEW to others that could be coming out of quasi-retirement for the moment – AEW could sign some interesting WWE legends in coming months.
Here are six WWE legends that could join AEW.
6. Beth Copeland
While she may be known for her time in WWE as Beth Phoenix, a new iteration of the Glamazon has recently risen.
After making a surprise appearance at AEW All Out 2025, it would seem that Beth Copeland may make a repeat appearance.
After she suffered a package piledriver at the hands of FTR, it seems unlikely that the WWE Hall of Famer won’t make another appearance in AEW in the future.
Definitely a proven fan favorite who received a thunderous ovation upon her appearance at AEW All Out, hopefully Mrs. Copeland is back in action sometime soon.

5. Brie Bella
Speaking of WWE Hall of Fame wives, there is another potential AEW recruit in Mrs. Bryan Danielson – Brie Bella.
While the star is using her maiden surname Garcia in professional efforts now, WWE fans will best remember her as one half of the Bella Twins.
However with the recent return to the WWE roster of twin sister Nikki, Brie remains seemingly up for grabs.
Able to sign their own Bella Twin to AEW, Garcia has the on-screen hosting experience to add a valuable voice to the pre-show panel.

4. Rhino
One WWE legend that remains active in competition is Rhino.
After making a big impact in ECW as Rhyno, he would go on to continue to have compelling feuds in WWE and beyond.
Making a surprise appearance on AEW Dynamite back in May in a bout against Nick Wayne, Rhino would go on to have a few matches in ROH as well.
While he hasn’t been seen again in AEW, he remains active in independent wrestling and could definitely be someone with a reason to pop-up again in AEW.

3. Ronda Rousey
One of the most famous names that AEW could pick-up could be that of former UFC and WWE star Ronda Rousey.
Having been vocal about her experience in WWE leaving her feeling a bit unfufilled coupled with her real life friendship with Marina Shafir – perhaps we could be closer to seeing her appear than we think.
Already popping up in the past in Ring of Honor, seeing a surprise appearance from Ronda Rousey in AEW would certainly be a memorable moment.
Creating a ton of buzz for the already excellent AEW women’s division, perhaps bringing in Rousey as an attraction for a short term feud could be a great spotlight.

2. Goldberg
A WCW and WWE legend, Goldberg seemingly planned on hanging up his boots for good in 2025, announcing that he would have one last match.
Although without much of a build and very little in the way of genuine emotional stakes to the bout – the move felt more like a stunt to some fans than a genuine farewell.
While Goldberg did have a match against GUNTHER on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, his comments after the bout suggest perhaps he would be willing to fight again.
Perhaps hosting one last final match for Goldberg, AEW could end up pulling off a coup to snag another match with the WWE legend.

1. Raven
One professional wrestling legend that hasn’t appeared in WWE in well over twenty years is Raven.
Making an appearance several years back in MLW, perhaps Raven could be tempted into making an on-screen appearance in AEW.
With Raven being credited as the spiritual leader of the dastardly faction The Calling in MLW, he returned to in-ring action as recently as March 2024 for a bout against his former faction.
Possibly able to be an iconic reveal behind some new threatening force in AEW, fans would love to see Raven pop up.
