With a recent surprise appearance by a WWE Hall of Famer at AEW All Out, there could be more legends set for AEW WrestleDream 2025.
From that aforementioned Hall of Famer who could come back around again to others that haven’t ever been seen on-screen in AEW – there are some intriguing legends that could pop-up for AEW WrestleDream.
Here are six WWE legends that could appear at AEW WrestleDream 2025.
6. Beth Copeland
With rumors that she could be popping up in AEW persisting since Adam Copeland’s arrival in the company, Beth Copeland (FKA Beth Pheonix in WWE) made an on-screen appearance at AEW All Out 2025.
Initially being shown running out and removing Stokely from ringside during a brutal bout between Adam Copeland, Christian Cage and FTR, the ending wouldn’t be so triumphant. While Cope and Cage did win the match, a post-match beatdown saw a shocking event.
After Beth suffered a package piledriver at the hands of FTR, Copeland was shown on a subsequent episode of AEW TV questioning his future.
However possibly returning alongside Mrs. Copeland, it could end up that there are still more moves ahead for the duo in AEW.

5. Brie Bella
While Nikki Bella has made her on-screen return to WWE, the other half of the Bella Twins has not.
Brie Bella remains a free agent but in addition to her on-going jobs as entrepreneur and host, she could pop by AEW for a very specific reason.
While she has not ever held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – with the titles being introduced after the Bella Twins stopped competing as a team – Brie Bella is still synonymous with female tag teams.
Able to present the winners of the newly introduced AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship to the winner – should the inaugural champs be determined at WrestleDream – it would make total sense to see her appear.

4. Goldberg
Tony Khan has commented in the past about his fondness for Goldberg and how he would be happy to discuss having him involved in AEW.
In the past Goldberg had been vocally against appearing in AEW but it is possible that recent events that transpired with WWE could change his mind.
In light of how his retirement played out, including unhappiness about his speech being cut off after 30 seconds, he may want another chance to go out on his own terms.
Even if Goldberg just popped by to make an appearance at WrestleDream 2025, the implication of a future match could be enough to exhilarate the former WCW and WWE star into another match.

3. Mick Foley
It has been awhile since professional wrestling fans caught a TV appearance from the WWE legend, Mick Foley.
Potentially able to pop up at AEW WrestleDream 2025 in any number of capacities, the beloved fan favorite would be a great legend to see on screen.
From the pre-show to commentary, Foley could do it all but perhaps would be most compelling shown interacting with the roster backstage.
Similarly to Jerry Lynn’s recent involvement between Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, perhaps Foley could appear to give some iconic advice.

2. Mickie James
Potentially just making a stop by AEW for an appearance, Mickie James would be an iconic addition to several parts of AEW WrestleDream 2025.
Able to connect with Renee Paquette during the pre-show, James has valuable insight about the nerves and anticipation going on in the locker room leading up to a big show.
Obviously a skilled broadcaster, James could join the commentary team for any number of matches and then accidentally be called into the action.
Or possibly just run out to make a surprise appearance to even the score during a contemptuous moment – AEW fans continue to hope to see some appearance by Mickie James in the company.

1. Shinsuke Nakamura
Currently there are no reports that Shinsuke Nakamura has left WWE however with his contract end date not publicly known – it is possible albeit not probable that he could join AEW in the near future.
Last in action in WWE during the King Of The Ring 2025 first round four-way in May 2025, Nakamura’s WWE return date is remains a mystery.
While he has accomplished a lot in his career thus far, it could be that the 45 year-old Nakamura might be looking to wrap up his in-ring career sometime this decade.
Potentially returning to NJPW, Nakamura could still find himself making an appearance in AEW in the near future – even if he isn’t available by for WrestleDream 2025.
