While WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso continues to fend off foes from every direction, there will eventually, at some point be “No Yeet”.
Looking at options of both stars that could literally replace Jey Uso as the next World Heavyweight Champion but separately, future stars who could capture a similar amount of fan support currently held by Uso – there are a lot of intriguing possibilities.
Here are six potential replacements for Jey Uso in WWE.
6. GUNTHER

Probably not aiming to capture the hearts of fans, GUNTHER has however, made his future plans clear to Jey Uso.
GUNTHER seems quite intent on reclaiming his World Heavyweight Championship from Jey, and has vowed to tap him out in order to do so.
While the duo is set for a rematch on the June 9 edition of WWE Raw for the title- perhaps the change will happen sooner rather than later.
Potentially poised to literally replace Jey Uso as champion – there are others that are more likely to be able to fill Uso’s shoes from a fan perspective.

5. Trick Williams

Former NXT Champion Trick Williams may be behaving quite heelishly as the TNA Wrestling Champion, it is possible he won’t be bad for too long.
With a popular interactive entrance theme and past history as a fan favorite babyface, Trick Williams could certainly check some of the same boxes as Jey Uso for fans.
Potentially aligning him with Carmelo Hayes (and even a third female member – perhaps Lash Legend is available!) could create an instant fan favorite stable if positioned against heels.
Able to re-ignite the Trick Melo Gang feud with the Creed Brothers from NXT but now on the main roster – there could be a huge boost in singles acclaim on the other side for everyone involved.

4. Brutus Creed

A sizeable part of fan’s emotional connection to Jey Uso seems to be his naturally charismatic personality but also – his overall arc in WWE. Struggling to get out of the shadow of his brother Jimmy, as well as the rest of The Bloodline faction, Jey was often positioned as less serious than the rest of the group.
Passed over for singles opportunities, it would end up being Jey Uso who captured fan’s hearts after finding his voice and finally stepping up to the oppressive Roman Reigns. Jey would then go on to fight his way into singles successes, with his WrestleMania 41 World Heavyweight Championship win being an emotional moment for fans.
Okay – now take all that, just apply it to Brutus Creed within the Creed Brothers as well as Diamond Mine from NXT and American Made and some parallels are there, at least if comparing Brutus to Jey when he was a lot earlier in his career.
It might not be the most obvious choice – and clearly Julius Creed deserves his own big singles push as well – but Brutus could absolutely follow Jey’s template with the right amount creative focus and character development.

3. Ricky Saints

With charisma and a natural storytelling ability, Ricky Saints is another potential replacement for Jey Uso.
Able to capture some of the same inherent fan support based on affability, a babyface Saints could definitely gain favor with the WWE fandom in a similar style to Jey Uso.
A fun and interactive entrance and built in connections with some top WWE main roster stars (CM Punk and Cody Rhodes to name a few!) there is a lot of upside still to Saints.
Hopefully being drafted to the main roster in the 2025 WWE Draft, Saints could have a massive impact on either the Raw or SmackDown brand in his first year in the company.

2. Oba Femi

A fan favorite in NXT despite his continual feuding with babyfaces, it isn’t totally clear what would make Oba Femi a heel.
As was the case with Jey Uso as even at the height of the Bloodline’s antics, Jey kept his personality which would at times make him seem not so evil at all.
Femi certainly has a big future ahead of him in WWE – also with an interactive entrance and big star presentation – he could be an incredible addition to the main roster that could capture some of Jey Uso’s fan appeal.
While it seems unlikely that Oba Femi would be called up to the main roster and immediately beat Jey Uso for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship – it is WWE, so the unexpected is always to be expected.

1. CM Punk

Punk has made it clear his goal to win a top title again in WWE – however it has yet to come to fruition since his return to the company in November 2023.
Last having held the WWE Championship in 2013 and before that the WWE World Championship in 2009 – a CM Punk title win would definitely long overdue in the minds of many fans.
There are a variety of storyline ways for CM Punk to be the one to captures the title from Jey, all without having to make a big character shift to get there.
Via a multi-man match or even potential Money in the Bank briefcase cash-in on someone else during a three, or four-way, there are ways for Punk to replace Uso without losing fan support.
