In the history of WWE, there have been some legendary Women’s Champions and notably some remain in active competition today.
From former stars that haven’t been seen in WWE in a long time to others that make some appearances but could be used even more, there are a number former Women’s Champions that could make a big impact today if they were to return.
Here are five former WWE Women’s Champions that could re-sign with the company.
5. Michelle McCool

Inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the class of 2025, Michelle McCool is definitely back in the fold in WWE.
She is also a season two coach on the WWE competition series LFG (Legends and Future Greats), offering her mentorship to the next generation.
However, it would make sense to see her have one more in-ring return in WWE – and not necessarily just during a Royal Rumble.
Similar to Trish Stratus’ ability to make in-ring appearances occasionally, McCool could also be a huge asset to a short-term storyline to help showcase a younger talent by sharing in her confidence.

4. Brie Bella

With the return of Nikki Bella at the 2025 Royal Rumble, fans immediately began to wonder if twin sister Brie was also primed for an appearance.
While she has yet to pop up in WWE, Brie has commented on her podcast that she would be open to taking a call.
With Nikki set to participate in the WWE Evolution Battle Royal, it would make sense to see some twin magic again in the ring together.
Perhaps joining forces – or falling into old ways of fighting with each other – the Bella Twins could be back in WWE sometime soon.

3. Paige

While she was known as her real name Saraya in AEW, fans continue to hope to see the WWE return of Paige.
Unable to compete due to neck injury before her departure from WWE in 2022, if she were to return to WWE it is also possible she could make an in-ring return as well.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see her make an appearance as soon as the Evolution premium live event.
In particular, it would be good to see her enter the Battle Royal, as at the first edition of Evolution in 2018, she wasn’t cleared for in-ring competition.

2. Jazz

Jazz is another fan favorite in the women’s division that has remained active within the world of professional wrestling.
While the veteran is currently signed to TNA Wrestling, she has had some fairly recent in-ring action in the promotion in addition to her backstage duties.
Since there is continued crossover between TNA and WWE, it is possible that Jazz could make a surprise appearance sooner rather than later.
The two-time WWE Women’s World Champion would be a great addition to a storyline on NXT, bringing both experience and charisma.

1. Kelly Kelly

Former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly (Barbie Blank) will not be in attendance for the upcoming all-female event Evolution 2025.
After responding to a fan on Twitter about the upcoming event, she revealed that she was invited to the event to sit in the crowd – but she didn’t feel like it was the right way for her to return, so she declined the offer.
While she may have passed on this particular appearance, it didn’t sound like she had ruled out the possibility at some point, as she said she’ll be back “when the time is right”.
Perhaps a future candidate for the WWE Hall of Fame, Kelly Kelly could believably make her way back to WWE sometime in the future.
