With the all-female WWE premium live event Evolution 2025 coming up on July 13, there have been some expected matches canceled.
So far announced for the event, a series of exciting matches – although there were definitely others that were teased but didn’t end up coming to be.
Here are six WWE Evolution 2025 matches that seemed likely but ended up not taking place.
6. Nikki Bella vs. Liv Morgan
After making her return to WWE Raw, Nikki Bella’s first promo back in the company was promptly interrupted by Liv Morgan.
Morgan would go on to deliver an Oblivion to Bella and seemingly signaled that a future physical showdown between the two was incoming.
However, after Morgan was taken out of action due to injury, the storyline was scrapped.
Liv Morgan was replaced as WWE Women’s World Tag Team Champion with newly voted in Judgment Day member Roxanne Perez, while Bella will now be in the Evolution battle royal instead.

5. Giulia vs. Zelina Vega
While Giulia captured the WWE United States Championship from Zelina Vega on SmackDown, Vega has yet to have a rematch.
Although throwing a rematch for the title on the card may make sense, it doesn’t seem to be in the works as so far there is no United States Championship match set for Evolution and both Giulia and Vega are set for the battle royal instead.
It does mean the US Title is the only main roster women’s title not on the line at Evolution.
With the first-ever two night SummerSlam on the horizon, there should certainly be something in the works for “The Beautiful Madness”.

4. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs. Kabuki Warriors
When Judgment Day were pitching to WWE GMs Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis to keep the women’s tag team titles intact despite Liv Morgan’s injury – the deal came with a caveat.
Rather than just having a two-on-two bout at Evolution for the tag team titles, they would instead be facing three different teams which would end up being revealed to be the teams of SmackDown’s Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, The Kabuki Warriors from Raw and Sol Ruca & Zaria from NXT.
With the recent return of Asuka and Kairi Sane after long periods out of action due to injury, it could have easily been just the Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez vs. The Kabuki Warriors.
While there is definitely a chance that the titles could change hands at the event, it isn’t entirely clear what the future direction of the women’s tag division might be.

3. Tiffany Stratton vs. IYO SKY vs. Jacy Jayne
Evolution is an opportunity to feature intriguing match-ups that maybe wouldn’t otherwise happen without the event.
While it could have been an intriguing match to see all three of the top women’s title holders in WWE face off against one another – like Survivor Series 2019 – that wasn’t the direction.
Instead the show will see all three titles on the line in their own individual singles action.
Tiffany Stratton is set to face Trish Stratus, IYO SKY will face Rhea Ripley, and NXT Champion Jacy Jayne faces challenger Jordynne Grace.

2. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch
After Becky Lynch captured the Intercontinental Championship from Lyra Valkyria and then subsequently successfully defended it against her, it seemed she would move on to be feuding with Bayley.
However, while a battle between two of the four horsewomen one-on-one would have made sense for Evolution, Valkyria fought her way back into the picture.
In the end, this match would end up becoming a triple threat still featuring Bayley and Becky Lynch, but also former Intercontinental Champion Valkyria.
Hopefully the result puts forward a clear winner, and a new feud for WWE SummerSlam with the Intercontinental Championship on the line in a marquee match.

1. Bianca Belair vs. Naomi
With Bianca Belair out of in-ring action since her WrestleMania 41 match against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley, she still made an appearance in the interim.
Appearing on an episode of WWE SmackDown from her hometown, Belair’s return was ruined by Naomi who would go on to creepily reveal she had broken into Belair’s family home.
While it is possible that this match-up could still be coming, instead Naomi will face off against another one of her mortal enemies, Jade Cargill.
Set to face Cargill in a No Holds Barred match, Naomi has already been teasing some violent tricks up her sleeve – posting videos on social media of her Money in the Bank briefcase fully stocked with weapons.
