With WrestleMania 41 coming up this weekend, there is a need to offer fans fresh new stories in the wake of WWE’s biggest annual show.
One easy method of doing this is repackaging existing stars.
Several talents on the roster, while skilled, have become creatively stale and in need of a new direction.
The following stars could all benefit from a wholesale repackage.
5. Andrade

Despite delivering excellent in-ring performances, Andrade could not wait to get out of his AEW contract.
However, returning to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble, he has received little spotlight, appearing sparingly on Smackdown.
The highpoint of his second run in WWE has been winning the third-tier WWE Speed Championship – a clear waste of his immense talent.
One of WWE’s best in-ring workers, Andrade deserves a repackage and a renewed emphasis on television.

4. Omos

The 7’3″ athlete has not been seen on WWE programming since the 2024 Andre The Giant Battle Royal and was used only sporadically on house shows before that.
However, earlier this year, he appeared in Pro-Wrestling NOAH – WWE’s Japanese partner – where he had a successful run, capturing the GHC Tag Team Titles with Jack Morris.
There, NOAH used him effectively in a tag team, allowing him to hide his in-ring limitations, while emphasizing his “giant” strengths.
WWE could follow NOAH’s lead by placing him in a dominant tag team, a move that may be a game-changer.

3. Dakota Kai

Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai is one of the most talented in-ring workers on the main roster, with undeniable charisma.
Yet, since arriving in WWE in 2017, she has never held a singles title.
Recurring injuries at key moments have, unfortunately, stalled her momentum.
A return to her natural heel persona, with a focused push, could finally unlock her full potential.

2. Sheamus

A multi-time world champion, Sheamus remains one of WWE’s most hard-hitting and consistent performers.
Yet, despite his credentials, he’s drifted rather aimlessly since returning from injury in 2024.
His current persona has become noticeably stale and he has been used only sparingly on television.
The resurgence of a darker, more violent character could reignite his career, allowing him to reclaim his main event status.

1. Akira Tozawa

To the modern WWE fanbase, Akira Tozawa is seen as a joke – a figure of fun to be beaten like a drum.
Yet for years before joining WWE, Tozawa was a killer, putting on state of the art, critically celebrated bouts in his home promotion Dragon Gate and wowing US indie crowds in DGUSA.
It would be shocking – in an incredible way – to see Towaza return throwing hard forearms, thudding chest kicks and suplexes that drop opponents on their head.
This is an essential repackage WWE fans never knew they needed!
