AEW Forbidden Door Team MJF vs Team Mark Briscoe match graphic

With just two months until All In London 2026, AEW will return to pay-per-view for the Forbidden Door event from San Jose, California.

This show will feature the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation men’s and women’s tournaments, which means the results of this event are more important than ever.

Considering the ramifications of some of these matches and the event overall, it will be extremely interesting to see who walks out with a victory following Forbidden Door 2026.

Here are our potential spoilers for the AEW Forbidden Door 2026 results.

Skye Blue vs. MAIKA – TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest Qualifying Match (Buy-In)

On the July 1 edition of AEW Dynamite, the vacant TBS Championship will be up for grabs in a six-woman Survival of the Fittest match.

Over the past few weeks, fans have watched names from the AEW women’s division compete to qualify for the crucial bout.

Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander and Persephone have all qualified over the past couple of AEW Collision episodes.

Meanwhile, Harley Cameron and Queen Aminata punched their tickets for the Survival of the Fittest on the June 24 episode of Dynamite.

Now, the sixth and final spot in the contest will be determined on the AEW Forbidden Door 2026 Buy-In when Skye Blue will go one-on-one with STARDOM’s own MAIKA.

While Blue is part of the most prominent faction in the AEW women’s scene with Triangle of Madness, MAIKA is a decorated talent from Japan and should have enough in the tank to overcome Skye in San Jose.

Prediction: MAIKA

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross) (c) vs. Thunder Rosa & Olympia (Buy-In)

Divine Dominion have been running roughshod over every single duo in front of them since coming together in early 2026.

The size and sheer power of Megan Bayne and Lena Kross have made them an insurmountable pairing for any woman on the roster.

After watching their dominance from afar, Thunder Rosa has taken notice and wants to see how she matches up against the champions.

Using her connections thanks to her dual contract with CMLL, the former AEW Women’s World Champion has enlisted the help of Olympia.

It was earlier this year that Olympia scored a huge victory over Bayne in singles action at an Arena Mexico event for CMLL.

Using that experience and the knowledge of the veteran Rosa, the challengers have a shot to push the champs, but Divine Dominion seem too unstoppable for a makeshift pairing to take down at AEW Forbidden Door 2026.

Prediction: Divine Dominion

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland) (c) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors)

At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defeated FTR in an I Quit match to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The legendary duo never had the chance to celebrate their win on the May 27 episode of AEW Dynamite because The Dogs attacked them and did the champion’s five-second pose over their bodies.

Since then, David Finlay and Clark Connors have taunted Cage and Cope at every turn on the road to AEW Forbidden Door 2026.

Then on the June 13 Summer Blockbuster edition of AEW Collision, The Dogs defeated The Young Bucks to stake their claim to a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Title.

Following a surprise return on the June 17 Dynamite, Cage and Cope will now defend the titles against The Dogs in what should be a heated contest at the pay-per-view.

Despite The Dogs having youth on their side and getting the better of the champions several times in the past few weeks, Cage and Cope are the favorites and should be able to notch their first successful defense of this reign at Forbidden Door.

Prediction: Cage & Cope

The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. El Sky Team (Mistico & Mascara Dorada) vs. Unbound Co. (Shingo Takagi & Titan)

At AEW Revolution 2026, FTR defeated The Young Bucks to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Since that loss, Matt and Nick Jackson have been focused on making a path back to the title.

The Bucks have picked up some solid wins in tag team competition, but they may just face their toughest test on this path at AEW Forbidden Door 2026.

In what should be a special showcase of tag team wrestling from three promotions, The Young Bucks will face CMLL’s El Sky Team and NJPW’s Unbound Co.

With three of the best tandems in wrestling, this has all the makings of a potential showstealer on the Forbidden Door card.

Considering the focus on the legendary brothers and their road back to the gold, The Young Bucks should be able to steal this one and continue towards an opportunity at the AEW World Tag Team Title down the road.

Prediction: The Young Bucks

AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Bandido

Ever since winning the AEW Continental Championship at the end of 2025, Jon Moxley has not backed down from any challenger for his gold.

On the June 17 edition of AEW Dynamite, Brodido reunited to score a win over Moxley and Daniel Garcia of The Death Riders.

Following this win, Bandido issued a challenge to Moxley for the AEW Continental Championship at Forbidden Door 2026.

Looking at their different styles, this should prove to be an intriguing matchup for Mox, who has never faced Bandido in singles competition.

While he has lost some key pay-per-view matches in recent months, Bandido is still one of the best in-ring performers on the AEW roster and could give the champion more than he bargained for.

Moxley getting by Bandido seems like the most likely conclusion for the AEW Continental Championship match at the Forbidden Door 2026 card.

Prediction: Jon Moxley

AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla (c) vs. Starlight Kid

Ahead of her arrival in All Elite Wrestling, Thekla was fired from World Wonder Ring STARDOM by President Taro Okada.

Since making her AEW debut in 2025, there have been several references to Thekla being kicked out of Japan by the promotion.

With AEW Forbidden Door 2026 on the horizon, Thekla took it upon herself to declare death to STARDOM.

This led to ‘The Toxic Spider’ issuing an open challenge to anyone in STARDOM for the pay-per-view from San Jose, California.

Answering this call has been former Wonder of Stardom Champion Starlight Kid, who is no stranger to Thekla from their time in STARDOM together.

Then at STARDOM The Conversion 2026, Thekla made a surprise appearance with an attack on Taro Okada before SLK made the save and the AEW Women’s World Champion was ejected from the building.

While Starlight Kid is one of the best that STARDOM has to offer, Thekla is on a roll right now and deserves to hold onto the AEW Women’s World Championship following Forbidden Door 2026.

Kenny Omega vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

After losing to MJF at AEW Dynasty 2026, Kenny Omega has been trying to get himself back on the right path and wants to find a way back to the AEW World Title.

While he missed out on the Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament, Omega may have found his road back to the top of All Elite Wrestling.

Considering AEW Forbidden Door 2026 is the next PPV on the calendar, NJPW’s Zack Sabre Jr. is coming back to Tony Khan’s promotion and issued a challenge to ‘The Cleaner.’

Omega and Sabre Jr. have only faced each other once in their careers eight years ago in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

ZSJ is one of the most decorated stars on the NJPW roster as a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, two-time New Japan Cup winner and the first British wrestler to win the G1 Climax tournament.

While his accolades are impressive, Omega seems destined to earn a desperation shot at the AEW World Championship ahead of All In London 2026 and has to win at Forbidden Door to get that opportunity.

Prediction: Kenny Omega

Mercedes Mone vs. Maya World – Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Final

This year’s Owen Hart Foundation women’s tournament has been one of the most unpredictable in its existence.

At the start of the tournament, Mercedes Mone was not scheduled to compete for an opportunity at the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In London 2026.

However, an injury to Willow Nightingale opened the door for Mone to become the ‘Wild Card’ in the tournament and go on to defeat both Alex Windsor and Hazuki to go to her second straight Owen Hart Cup Final.

Meanwhile, Maya World has gone through a rollercoaster of emotions recently after replacing Sareee in the tournament just days after her brother passed away.

World has used her added motivation to defeat Skye Blue and pick up the biggest win of her career over her trainer and mentor Athena to advance to the Owen Hart Cup Final.

Maya seems to be riding a wave of momentum that could see her become the ‘Cinderella Story’ of the tournament and win the cup to head to Wembley Stadium.

While Maya feels like a sentimental favorite, there is no bigger star in the AEW women’s division than Mone, which should lead to her winning the tournament for the second year and earning a third shot at the AEW Women’s World Title at All In London.

Prediction: Mercedes Mone

Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland – Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Final

Back at AEW Double Or Nothing 2025, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page defeated Will Ospreay to win the Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament final.

Now one year later, Ospreay finds himself back in the final following wins over Samoa Joe and Mark Davis.

Since making his AEW return at Revolution 2026, Ospreay has not been the same and has been feeling the effects of his neck fusion surgery, which has led to his unlikely alliance with the same men who were responsible for his injury in the first place, The Death Riders.

Learning from Jon Moxley, Ospreay has improved his neck and ground game in an effort to be the most complete version of himself and head to the main event at Wembley Stadium this summer.

Meanwhile, Swerve Strickland has been on a quest for power in All Elite Wrestling over the past few months.

Realizing he was his most powerful when he held the title, Strickland is now trying to become a two-time AEW World Champion.

With wins over Bandido and Brody King, Strickland has punched his ticket for the Owen Hart Cup final at Forbidden Door 2026.

In recent weeks, the history between Ospreay and Strickland has come to the forefront with the two being longtime friends and even teaming together against The Young Bucks and The Death Riders just last year.

While they have been associated for many years now, Swerve has had Ospreay’s number with Will never beating his Forbidden Door opponent.

Needing this win to realize his dream, ‘The Aerial Assassin’ feels more motivated and inspired than ever to win the Owen and head home to London for All In where he can win the AEW World Title in the main event.

Prediction: Will Ospreay

MJF, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, Jake Doyle & Andrade El Idolo vs. Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, Konosuke Takeshita, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly & Orange Cassidy – Steel Cage Match – If Team Briscoe Wins, Mark Gets An AEW World Title Shot)

At the AEW Forbidden Door 2025 pay-per-view, the company held its first multi-man Lights Out Steel Cage match.

Now at this year’s event, the rivalry between MJF and Mark Briscoe comes to a head in a six-on-six Steel Cage war.

Following AEW Double Or Nothing 2026, Briscoe was the first challenger to step up to challenge Maxwell Jacob Friedman for the AEW World Title, but ‘The Devil’ denied this request, feeling Briscoe was not worthy of the opportunity.

After a discussion with AEW CEO Tony Khan, Briscoe got a 12-Man tag team Steel Cage match made where if he wins, he earns his shot at the gold.

Briscoe has recruited his Conglomeration stablemates Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong as well as former AEW World Champion Darby Allin and current International Champion Konosuke Takeshita.

Meanwhile, MJF has gotten the services of the Don Callis Family thanks to some money and will team with Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, Jake Doyle and Andrade El Idolo.

Friedman has a ton of issues with a few members of DCF, including Knight, Fletcher and El Idolo, who all want a shot at the AEW World Championship themselves.

Considering the stipulation and the problems within Team DCMJF, it feels most likely that Team Briscoe can get the job done on Sunday, June 28 in San Jose.

Prediction: Team Briscoe
