Prior to WWE Survivor Series, Paul Heyman appeared on ESPN, where he noted that this year’s event would serve as something of an infomercial for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Coming out of the show, it seems we now have a much better idea of where exactly we are headed in regards to the show of shows next year upon it’s return to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Here is our predicted card for WrestleMania 42 following Survivor Series 2025.

Undisputed WWE Championship – Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Roman Reigns

WWE stars Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns

Old wounds have now been opened up between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns following the past week of WWE television.

On Raw, Roman left a very vague threat towards both Cody and CM Punk, stating that “the title would look better on me”, before Roman made it clear following War Games that his issues were with Cody, not Punk.

Cody and Roman main evented WrestleMania 39 and 40, with the pair both one win apiece in singles main events over each other at the event.

With the rubber match on the horizon, it seems we may be about to find out once and for all just who really is the guy in the company right now.

World Heavyweight Championship – CM Punk (c) vs. Bron Breakker (vs. Seth Rollins?)

Bron Breakker scored one of the biggest wins of his career at Survivor Series, when he pinned World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk to win the match for his team.

With Bron’s rise continuing following his betrayal of Seth Rollins, he seems primed right now to be on his way to a World Championship sooner rather than later.

It was reported following Bron’s turn that his victory was being held off due to the company ‘having a plan’ for the moment, and a WrestleMania victory would certainly be one plan worthy of holding off for.

The X factor here is Seth Rollins himself, who has said he is aiming to make his return from injury before WrestleMania, but a match between Punk and Bron, two men Seth has rightful issues with, also opens the door for an easy way for him to slot onto the card should he be cleared in time.

Women’s World Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. IYO SKY

The months leading into WrestleMania 41 were a rollercoaster for the Raw Women’s division, and we could be in for a very similar ride this year.

While they remain friends on television right now, the story between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY is currently left unfinished as they unite to face off with the Kabuki Warriors.

Rhea and IYO were apart of two of the company’s greatest women’s matches in 2025, and have quickly become the defining rivalry for this generation of the women’s division, making WrestleMania the most fitting place to end their saga.

With the story surrounding and the quality guaranteed, it would be a shame if we weren’t looking at one of the two main events of the show with Rhea and IYO’s final showdown.

WWE Women’s Championship – Jade Cargill (c) vs. Bianca Belair

Bianca Belair has not wrestled since WrestleMania 41, where she suffered an injury during the Triple Threat match with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY on the show.

However, with Jade Cargill’s recent heel turn placing her at the mountain top of the SmackDown Women’s division, the avenue for Bianca’s return and the eventual major showdown with Jade seems very clear.

With Liv Morgan making her return at Survivor Series, it seems clear that WWE is holding off on Bianca’s return until the Royal Rumble, which would make her a favorite to win the whole thing.

Speaking of Liv Morgan…

WWE Intercontinental & WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Winners Take All – Dominik Mysterio (c) & Liv Morgan vs. Finn Balor & Roxanne Perez (c)

The Intercontinental Championship is back in the hands of ‘Dirty Dom’ following Survivor Series thanks to the return of Liv Morgan, and her helping Dominik Mysterio defeat John Cena.

Prior to Liv’s injury, tensions were rising within the Judgment Day between herself and Roxanne Perez, as well as between Dominik and Finn Balor.

With Dominik the men’s Intercontinental Champion, Liv herself will likely be on a quest to capture the Women’s Intercontinental Title to match her man, a title that Roxanne herself has her eye on right now following Maxxine Dupri’s victory.

An eventual Judgment Day civil war, with BOTH Intercontinental Titles on the line, would be a marquee match for WrestleMania.

WWE United States Championship – Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

Ilja Dragunov and his United States Championship Open Challenge continue to be the highlight of SmackDown in recent weeks, with Ilja taking on all comers.

Knocking off many of SmackDown’s midcard names, if Ilja is to take the title into WrestleMania, a very imposing foe would need to step up and face him.

Enter Drew McIntyre, who will be coming into the match off of his feud with Cody Rhodes and failure to capture the WWE Championship on multiple occasions.

Drew getting redemption and capturing the one title he has never held in WWE, completing his Grand Slam, would be a decent enough make good for the Scottish Warrior.

Women’s United States Championship – Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

WWE has struck gold with the pairing of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss this year, with the duo helping get the WWE crowds back on the side of the Queen.

However, in wrestling, all good things must come to an end, and with WWE holding off on the planned split between Charlotte and Alexa for SummerSlam, the split will likely happen for WrestleMania.

And how do cracks most wrestling friendships tend to form? When one chases a singles championship, and Charlotte coming up short against Jade Cargill while Alexa defeats Chelsea Green for the Women’s United States Championship could be that bridge to open Alexa’s eyes to no longer needing Charlotte by her side.

Charlotte, now fully as a babyface, knocking off Alexa to capture the US Title would also make for a nice WrestleMania moment for her.

World Tag Team Championship – The Usos (c) vs. The Lucha Bros vs. The New Day

The Raw Tag Team division has been in a state of flux for most of 2025, and hopefully 2026 is the year we see more focus finally put onto the division.

The Usos are now once again united, so it will only be a matter of time before Jimmy and Jey get their hands back on Tag Team Gold, most likely knocking off The Vision to win the titles.

As for who would challenge them, WWE will be reuniting Penta and Rey Fenix in AAA later this month, provided Penta is healthy for the match, so a move to Raw for Fenix seems likely to happen soon.

Throw in New Day, who have major history with the Usos and a current long standing rivalry with Penta, and you have a great core to build the division around next year.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Ladder Match – Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. The Bella Twins vs. Lyra Valkyria & Bayley vs. Stephanie Vaquer & Giulia vs. Tiffany Stratton & Trish Stratus vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend

At WrestleMania 40 WWE held a six-team Ladder match for both sets of titles, with them holding a six-team TLC match at SummerSlam this year for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The tradition of Six-Team Tag Team Ladder matches should continue at WrestleMania next year, as for the first time in the history of the titles, the WWE Women’s Tag Team division right now is producing some great action.

With Asuka and Kairi Sane currently the champions, seeds of tension between Lyra Valkyria and Bayley slowing down, and Lash Legend and Nia Jax’s dangerous new alliance, there are already plenty of established duos we could see in the match.

Nikki Bella has also been teasing the return of her sister Brie Bella, and with Nikki coming up short going for both the Intercontinental and Women’s World Championships, Brie reuniting with her sister to chase the Women’s Tag Team Championship could be her next move, with Brie helping Nikki in her war with Stephanie Vaquer.

As an equaliser, Stephanie could look to Giulia, who is currently without a clear direction on SmackDown following her United States Championship loss to Chelsea Green, with a change of scenery and reunion with Stephanie potentially being what she needs to refresh herself.

For the sixth team, we have seen an alliance form between Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus both at Elimination Chamber and following their match against each other at Evolution, so they’d be a natural duo to slot in the final spot.

Brock Lesnar vs. GUNTHER

Ever since 2023 one thing has been abundantly clear; Triple H really, really, really wants to book Brock Lesnar vs. GUNTHER.

GUNTHER has had himself a whirlwind of a 2025, from submitting to Jey Uso at WrestleMania, to regaining the title, to retiring Goldberg, to potentially retiring John Cena.

Assuming GUNTHER is coming off being Cena’s final opponent, he will need yet another major roadblock for WrestleMania to keep his momentum rolling.

Roadblocks don’t come much bigger than The Beast.

I Quit Match – Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee

AJ Lee made her return to the ring at WrestlePalooza in September, where she submitted Becky Lynch to win the match for her and CM Punk, which Becky disputes.

AJ would also make Becky submit in War Games at Survivor Series to win the match for her team, another submission that Becky disputes.

With Becky’s lack of accountability, there is one clear and definitive way to get her to admit defeat, and that’s to make her say ‘I Quit’.

AJ and Becky’s rivalry will likely take us all the way to Las Vegas for that one.

Jacob Fatu, Randy Orton & IShowSpeed vs. Logan Paul & The Vision (Bronson Reed & Austin Theory)

Streamer IShowSpeed is no stranger to the WWE ring, with him appearing as Logan Paul’s PRIME mascot at WrestleMania 40, as well as entering the 2025 Royal Rumble match, where he was Speared by Bron Breakker.

Speed recently trained with Randy Orton in the WWE Performance Center, leading to speculation that we could see Speed enter the ring in an official capacity some time soon.

With Breakker a member of the Vision, WWE could play off their history, leading to Speed entering the crosshairs of Paul Heyman’s crew, now including Austin Theory, as they look to finish the job.

An unofficial relationship between Logan Paul and the Vision has been established following War Games, and Speed and Logan being in the same match will hit all the right itches WWE will be looking for in terms of viral moments from this match.

As for Jacob Fatu, we are yet to figure out who it was that took the Samoan Werewolf out, but Drew McIntyre said it wasn’t him, and he would never lie to us.

Jacob was rumoured to be an entrant in this year’s Men’s War Games match, meaning issues between he and the Vision are set to be established, with Heyman potentially ordering them to take out Jacob to prevent him from coming to the aid of his cousins, Jimmy specifically, who he has been allied with on SmackDown for months.

Every WrestleMania has it’s celebrity viral moments match, and I think that’s the role for Speed this year. Siu.

Chris Jericho vs. LA Knight

It’s time to bust out the countdown clock, but it’s looking increasingly likely that Raw will once again be Jericho very soon.

With Jericho’s AEW deal reportedly set to expire at the end of the month, WWE have reportedly pitched a retirement story for Jericho, with him expected to be back in the company early next year.

As for who will be standing across the ring from Y2J? Well that’ll likely be LA Knight, who is currently a man on an island on Raw after his issues with the Vision took a backseat for War Games.

Jericho’s first WrestleMania match in 9 years being against one of WWE’s current loud mouth trash talkers seems a natural fit.

Mask vs. Mask – El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano

WrestleMania 41 saw the first WrestleMania match in the history of the iconic Luchadore El Grande Americano.

However, for the past few months, it seems as though something physically has shifted in the legendary Luchadore, with him looking different physically compared to how he did when he first arrived in WWE.

If hypothetically El Grande Americano had been played by two different wrestlers, one who is on his way back from a shoulder injury soon, then the two different versions of the Luchadore would be set for an iconic clash to figure out who is TRULY El Grande Americano.

With his recent success in AAA as a beloved star, it would likely be the second El Grande Americano who would retain the gimmick should the clash go down.

Not that it can, since it’s the same wrestler after all…
