Predicting The Match Order For WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event makes its return this Saturday, May 23 from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

With this show taking place just one week ahead of WWE Clash In Italy 2026, it will have an impact on the historic premium live event from Turin, Italy.

Considering the card already announced, it should be intriguing to see how the company paces this event with the match order.

Here are our predictions for the potential match order for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill, Michin & B-Fab

Following the arrival of Fatal Influence on Friday Night SmackDown, this new group got under the skin of the top female talent on the blue brand, including Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

This led to Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid facing Ripley, Flair and Bliss in a six-woman tag team match on the May 8 episode of SmackDown, which saw Jade Cargill return to cost “Mami” this bout.

After the match, Cargill, Michin and B-Fab attacked the three babyfaces, which set the stage for another trios bout that will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

With the amount of star power in this contest, it makes sense if WWE wants Ripley, Flair and Bliss facing Cargill, Michin and B-Fab to kick off the May 23 Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Becky Lynch vs. Sol Ruca

Since arriving on the WWE main roster, Sol Ruca has taken Monday Night Raw by storm and showcased what made her a “can’t miss” prospect over the past few years on NXT.

On the May 4 edition of WWE Raw, Ruca officially signed with the red brand, but it was Becky Lynch who stepped up to steal the spotlight from the former NXT Women’s North American Champion.

Then on the May 18 WWE Raw, Ruca challenged Lynch to a match. While Becky accepted this challenge, she wanted it to be a non-title match after Sol came up short in her first two matches since signing with Raw.

This non-title contest should be earlier in the card to leave the final few matches for the title bouts on the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event card.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) vs. Ethan Page

Another new star on Monday Night Raw is Ethan Page, who has made his presence felt since his main roster debut.

In just a few short weeks, Page has picked up a singles win over Je’Von Evans, while also pinning Penta in a tag team match.

This has led to “All Ego” earning the opportunity to challenge Penta for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

This IC Title match being placed in the middle of the card will cause the shift in importance for the rest of the championship bouts later on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Paige & Brie Bella (c) vs. The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend)

At WrestleMania 42 Night One, Paige made her return to team with Brie Bella to defeat The Irresistible Forces, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Since capturing the gold, Paige and Brie have not backed up from any challenge, including a rematch with Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

Not satisfied with how that match ended, The Irresistible Forces have reinserted themselves to get another opportunity, which goes down at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Paige and Brie facing The Irresistible Forces should be later in the show and could serve as a big time semi main event on this show on May 23.

WWE World Tag Team Championships: The Vision (Logan Paul & Austin Theory) (c) vs. Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)

On the April 20 WWE Raw After WrestleMania 42, Street Profits made their return to the company and immediately went after The Vision.

Wanting to put themselves in contention for the WWE World Tag Team Titles, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins have targeted Logan Paul and Austin Theory at every turn.

Along the way, Street Profits have displayed their differences with another enemy of The Vision in Seth Rollins.

While it remains to be seen if Rollins and Bron Breakker will get involved in this title contest, this World Tag Team Championship match between The Vision and Street Profits feels the most worthy of headlining WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
