Oba Femi WWE Main Roster Plans

There could be some big plans ahead on the WWE main roster for a massive new addition from NXT, Oba Femi.

Although he just made a return on NXT, it seems as though Oba Femi is still poised to be headed to the main roster before long.

Here are six potential main roster plans for NXT star Oba Femi.

6. Join The Vision

One potential main roster vehicle for the call-up of Oba Femi could be The Vision faction.

While Seth Rollins’ injury seemingly derailed the original plans for the stable, after Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turned on their leader — they could be in search of a new third member.

Able to tap the dominant former NXT Champion as another big man to join their stable, the trio under the tutelage of Paul Heyman could go on to rule on WWE Raw.

With the Survivor Series WarGames teams yet to be fully revealed, it could be that Femi’s call-up is coming sooner rather than later.

5. Recruited By CM Punk

While the heel team for Survivor Series WarGames still has some vacancies, it also seems that there may need to be additions to the babyface squad.

With the team already set to feature CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso, there will be more additions yet to be revealed.

While possibilities include John Cena, Randy Orton, LA Knight or the return of Roman Reigns — it could be that CM Punk looks to NXT to recruit a new addition.

Arguably the best physical match for the likes of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in NXT, CM Punk could certainly look to bring in The Ruler to make his debut at WarGames.

4. Target John Cena

While there are very few appearances left from Cena in WWE, there is still technically enough time for Oba Femi to tangle with the legend.

Potentially able to be a surprise entrant in the Last Time Is Now tournament, Oba Femi could end up getting his first main roster title from a retiring Cena.

If John Cena were to keep the Intercontinental Championship until his last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, it would be a star making moment for whoever ended up taking the title from him.

Or perhaps no one will and The Last Real Champion will retire with the IC belt — but he could still definitely have to tangle with Oba Femi in order to make it to Washington D.C.

3. Hired Heel Muscle

While there could be a lot of ways for Oba Femi to immediately establish himself as a continuation of his NXT character — he could also come to the main roster on a unique mission.

If he were to appear first as hired muscle for a dastardly member of the current roster — like Randy Orton, The Miz or even Becky Lynch — Femi could establish himself as a frightening force but without picking any specific fights.

Transitioning to the main roster and keeping his dominant status, appearing as a bodyguard could be the way that Femi makes his first appearances on the main roster.

Likely to eventually establish himself as a babyface given the positive fan reception for his character, there could be an initial run of a more fearsome Oba Femi at first.

2. Answer Ilja Dragunov Open Challenge

One route for Oba Femi to make his presence immediately known on the main roster is to answer Ilja Draugnov’s Open Challenge for the United States Championship.

Continuing in the tradition of John Cena and then resurrected in 2025 by Sami Zayn, Dragunov has continued a successful string of title defenses since capturing the gold from Zayn.

Already successfully defending against Alesiter Black, Nathan Frazer and Johnny Gargano, Dragunov continues to fend off potential challengers Tommaso Ciampa and even Axiom — but could be headed for his biggest challenge yet.

An amazing debut on SmackDown would be for The Ruler of NXT Oba Femi to make his mark on the main roster by answering the open challenge for the United States Championship.

1. Tag team With Omos

While there was been a face off between Omos and Oba Femi at an NXT House Show, fans have yet to see a big battle between the pair.

Potentially linking the duo together for a thunderous main roster debut, the towering stars could become the newest and most frightening tag team on WWE Raw.

Able to challenge the duo of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee, the unlikely pair that captured the WWE World Tag Team titles last month from the Judgment Day.

Possibly winning a title in their first main roster tag team effort together, the pair could go on to become massive heels that fans secretly love.
