The next WWE Grand Slam Champion: Current stars one title away from achieving the Grand Slam, and whether they are likely to do so

Cody Rhodes as Undisputed WWE Champion, Intercontinental Champion and SmackDown Tag Team Champion

One of the most impressive feats that a WWE star can achieve is becoming a Grand Slam Champion.

A wrestler becomes a Grand Slam Champion by capturing every available championship, being a World Title, Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team Title for the men, and the Women’s Tag Team, NXT Women’s and both world titles for the women.

Many current stars have already achieved the accolade, but there are more that are just one title away.

Note: As of this writing, WWE considers the Women’s Grand Slam to be the WWE Women’s (Raw Women’s), Women’s World (SmackDown Women’s), NXT Women’s and Women’s Tag Team Championship, and the format has not yet been updated to reflect the introduction of the Women’s Intercontinental and United States Championships

Alexa Bliss – NXT Women’s Championship

Alexa Bliss became the first woman to hold both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships back in 2017

Likelihood: Unlikely

Alexa Bliss came up in NXT during a very stacked period for the division, with the Four Horsewomen and Asuka being centre stage during her prominent years on the brand.

Alexa left NXT not winning the title, so it’s unlikely she will capture the Grand Slam unless she returns to NXT to win the title like Becky Lynch did in 2023.

Bianca Belair – NXT Women’s Championship

Likelihood: Unlikely

Much like Alexa Bliss, the NXT Women’s Championship passed Bianca Belair by during her time in NXT.

With Bianca already being incredibly missed on the main roster, it’s hard to imagine that WWE sends her to NXT when she’s ready to make her return.

CM Punk – United States Championship

CM Punk became the fastest wrestler to win the Triple Crown in WWE history, taking just 203 days

Likelihood: Likely

CM Punk became the fastest wrestler in history to win the Triple Crown Championship, winning the World Heavyweight, Intercontinental and World Tag Team Titles in the span of just 203 days.

With the United States Championship the only one Punk is yet to hold, he will probably end up winning it during his eventual retirement run just as John Cena did the Intercontinental Championship.

Cody Rhodes – United States Championship

Cody Rhodes brought back the classic white version of the Intercontinental Championship in 2011

Likelihood: Very Likely

The American Nightmare has yet to capture the United States Championship across both his runs with the company.

Him holding the title writes itself, and WWE will not be able to resist making him the United States Champion in the future.

Damian Priest – Intercontinental Championship

Likelihood: Somewhat Likely

After turning heel on R-Truth, Damian Priest is now looking to return to singles championship glory in WWE, with the hopes this run could once again reignite his push.

If Priest moves to Raw, he may end up picking up the last title he needs, the Intercontinental Championship.

Drew McIntyre – United States Championship

Drew McIntyre captured both the Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team Championships during his first run in the company

Likelihood: Likely

Capturing the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships in his first run, Drew McIntyre is also only a United States Championship away from the Grand Slam.

Drew’s return to SmackDown is looming, and him chasing the title is a clear potential return path for the Scottish Warrior.

Jey Uso – United States Championship

Likelihood: Somewhat Likely

Jey Uso has returned to the tag team division this past year, with him falling back in line with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline.

Jey remains popular though, so if WWE moves him over to SmackDown in a singles capacity in the future, he could capture the last title he needs.

Matt Cardona – World Championship

Matt Cardona returned to WWE to finally capture the WWE Championship in January 2026

Likelihood: Unlikely

Matt Cardona took the perfect route back to WWE following his release in 2020, reinventing himself under his real name on the independents.

Cardona returned specifically to capture the WWE Championship, and while he is very far away right now, he could return from injury a man on a mission.

Shinsuke Nakamura – World Championship

Shinsuke Nakamura has yet to capture a World Championship in WWE after 10 years with the company

Likelihood: Unlikely

Shinsuke Nakamura failed to capture the WWE Championship from AJ Styles after 4 times of asking back in 2018, as well as coming up short against Seth Rollins multiple times in 2023.

The days of Shinsuke even competing for the World Championship in WWE seem long behind us at this point.
