With AJ Lee returning to WWE to join forces with her husband CM Punk, potentially more new faces could soon align with the “Best in the World”.
From notable stars on the rise in NXT that could make the main roster leap, to other possibilities outside the company that would be totally brand new – Punk has an intriguing list of potential allies.
Here are eight new WWE stars to potentially debut in an alliance with CM Punk.
8. Ricky Saints

Ricky Saints has a big opportunity at NXT No Mercy when he takes on Oba Femi for the NXT Championship.
Win or lose however, he could have an even bigger upcoming opportunity beyond that if he were to join up with CM Punk on the main roster.
Able to debut with Punk in immediate opposition of Seth Rollins, Saints could be the exact character needed to combat The Vision.
As quick witted as he is in the ring, Saints would be an amazing person to debut alongside CM Punk, especially given their past meetings in AEW before Punk’s exit.

7. Je’Von Evans

NXT star Je’Von Evans would be a great character to debut officially on the main roster with CM Punk.
Making an impressive in-ring showing by answering Sami Zayn’s WWE United States Championship open challenge on SmackDown, there could be more coming from Evans.
Despite his youth at 21 years old, the “Young OG” has plenty of experience, joining NXT from the indies rather than the comparative collegiate athlete recruitment process.
Bringing sharp skills from his earliest days in NXT, Evans has already demonstrated he would fit in on the main roster. Aligning with CM Punk would definitely be a great way to become a main roster fixture.

6. Oba Femi

With an impressive reign already as NXT Champion throughout 2025, it perhaps could be time for Oba Femi to move on to the main roster.
Well regarded as a fan favorite despite his threatening presence, Oba Femi could be the exact balance CM Punk needs to fight off The Vision.
While it seems Seth Rollins’ faction is stacked up with bad big men in Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker – perhaps Punk could use some muscle himself.
Aligning with “The Ruler” could be a true power move for the Best in the World.

5. Private Party

A potential addition to a CM Punk crew that comes from outside of NXT are Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen.
Known as Private Party in AEW, the duo haven’t been seen since they dropped the AEW World Tag Team Championship to the Hurt Syndicate back in January 2025.
In the interim, neither have been seen in action in AEW or ROH however have competed on the indies.
Potentially awaiting their contract expiry to be able to move forward in their careers, debuting with CM Punk could be the perfect introduction for the WWE audience to their charismatic characters.

4. Tony D’Angelo

After seemingly saying farewell to NXT through a cliffhanger ending to an episode of NXT in July, Tony D’Angelo hasn’t been seen since.
Because he departed through mysterious circumstances – in apparent homage to the series finale of The Sopranos – Tony D’Angelo’s future remains in doubt, however, it seems likely that whatever comes next for “The Don” will not be on NXT given how he was ‘killed off’.
Opening up many doors of possibility, D’Angelo could end up popping up with anyone on the main roster and it could be shown that he was approached by them.
Potentially joining forces with CM Punk to take back up a rivalry with old foe Bron Breakker and The Vision – a rebooted Tony D’Angelo could be a lot of fun.

3. Charlie Dempsey

Charlie Dempsey was last seen in action on NXT TV in a losing effort to Joe Hendry over a month ago with the former No Quarter Catch Crew leader now on a hiatus from WWE as he returns to Japan to compete for Pro Wrestling NOAH.
Potentially poised to join the main roster after the conclusion of their group storyline, it would make total sense to see Dempsey pop-up alongside CM Punk.
With Dempsey already having teased some vague tension with his own Dad, William Regal on TV when Regal seemed more supportive of Lexis King than him – he may turn to CM Punk for mentorship.
Potentially leading to some intriguing and emotionally evocative work in the future between Punk and Regal – the alliance of Dempsey & Punk could be a game changer for the second-generation star’s career.

2. Danhausen

Until Danhausen is brought off the bench in AEW, he will continue to have fans speculating that his arrival in WWE could be imminent.
While it had previously been reported that Danhausen’s contract with AEW was set to expire over the summer, it was later revealed that he would remain under contract longer to make up for time he was out of action due to injury.
Without a clear end date reported, Danhausen could pop-up in support of Punk anytime – but it may not be until into 2026.
Real life friends, Danhausen and CM Punk’s characters don’t need to make sense together to work perfectly – hopefully an unlikely duo that gets to reunite in WWE someday soon.

1. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. hasn’t been seen on AEW TV since November 2024 when she had a match against Penelope Ford and then vanished without explanation.
While Tony Khan has confirmed that Britt Baker remains contracted with AEW, it remains to be seen what her future might hold.
Frequently appearing together during media appearances on behalf of AEW, it seemed that Britt Baker and CM Punk had a jovial relationship.
Joining forces to debut with CM Punk – particularly to take the place of some sort of mysterious attack on AJ Lee – there could be a major moment without necessarily staying aligned for the long haul.
