New WWE Raw General Manager

While Adam Pearce continues as the fearless leader of WWE Raw as General Manager, it could be time to shake things up.

From simply switching spots with a different GM to throwing someone entirely new into the mix – there are some intriguing options for a brand new authority figure for the flagship WWE show on Netflix.

Here are eight possibilities for a new WWE Raw General Manager.

8. Nick Aldis

While Adam Pearce has been a fearless leader on WWE Raw for quite some time, the simplest way to shake things up could be a simple switch.

Already demonstrating his abilities as the WWE SmackDown GM – Nick Aldis could definitely make the leap to Raw.

Possibly looking to mix around some of the dynamics between the talent and the authority figure – it would be fun to see Aldis tangle with the likes of Seth Rollins and The Vision – since he has plenty of experience attempting to reign in the Bloodline.

With compelling on-screen dynamics with Paul Heyman able to serve as a storyline backdrop for a variety of power struggles, there could be some incredible scenes between the two.

7. Paul Heyman

If there were to need for an interim GM on WWE Raw for some reason – like an off-screen backstage attack of Adam Pearce for instance – perhaps Paul Heyman would volunteer for the role.

Able to give Adam Pearce a break from his GM duties, installing Heyman in an authority figure role would essentially be handing even more power to The Vision faction – an added detail that could make the stakes even higher.

With CM Punk able to channel all of his most anti-authority sentiments towards Paul Heyman – there could be some wildly memorable moments in his tenure as WWE Raw GM.

Since Heyman certainly has his fair share of enemies on-screen, it could be fun to see his character actively participate instead of simply observing the chaos.

6. Ava

The youngest GM in WWE history, Ava was appointed to her role officially in January 2024 when she was 23 years old.

However she has definitely grown in the role and could be an intriguing pick for WWE Raw GM.

While the stars of NXT have proven to be a test for their fearless leader, she would face an entirely new set of complications on WWE Raw.

Namely – her fellow real life Bloodline family members and their assorted enemies – making this particular story far more compelling than it appears on the surface.

5. William Regal

WWE Raw could see a complete reinvention of the GM character if William Regal were to take up the task.

While William Regal has made a few appearances on-screen in WWE since his return to the company, he hasn’t featured as much of a character.

However, given his track record an on-screen authority figure including his landmark run as NXT GM – it could be time for Regal to become an on-screen character again.

Able to captivate WWE fans with his storytelling abilities, Regal’s contributions are able to be subtle but still impactful in moving storylines forward.

4. Nikki Bella

While Nikki Bella’s in-ring return has been a success, there will always be detractors with some pundits critiquing her bout against Becky Lynch at Clash in Paris closely.

However, there is a unique opportunity in the current storyline featuring Becky Lynch – where she is now in a showdown with AJ Lee that includes their respective partners – for Bella to bounce back.

If she were appointed as interim WWE Raw GM, Nikki Bella could have a tremendous amount of fun aligning with AJ Lee in a historic partnership to effectively infuriate Becky Lynch.

While it may be only fun for a week or two – Bella would still be up to the job!

3. Kevin Owens

No nonsense former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens has been vocal in the past with critiques about authority figures – making him the perfect person to try his hand at the task.

While Owens remains out of action due to injury, when he does return to WWE screens – he could be an amazing WWE Raw GM.

Not only is his straight-man style a hilarious juxtaposition to some of the over the top characters backstage, he could become an integral part of the overall storytelling.

With existing emotional stakes with other characters on-screen, Owens’ return to a GM role could end up driving storylines for the foreseeable future.

2. Paige

A familiar face from the past that could step into a GM role in WWE would be Paige.

While she departed the company in 2022, she would later make her in-ring debut in AEW and go on to become AEW Women’s World Champion under her real first name, Saraya.

However, now that Saraya has departed AEW – fans are hopeful that she could potentially make a WWE return.

With the recent in-ring returns of Nikki Bella and AJ Lee, perhaps Paige could join WWE Raw as a GM first – before making her surprise in-ring return down the road.

1. JBL

A WWE Hall of Famer that could be a legendary fit as a new WWE Raw GM is John Bradshaw Layfield.

Although the move may actually be quite unlikely, given recent comments from the man himself.

On his podcast, Something to Wrestle, JBL confirmed that while he does extend a courtesy to WWE with heads up ahead of some appearances – he clarified that he is not under contract with the company.

Noting that he is enjoying his life currently – perhaps the notorious on-screen businessman could be persuaded into the role, if the money was right!
