With Pat McAfee, Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett currently on hiatuses from WWE commentary for varying reasons and Michael Cole and Corey Graves taking up the SmackDown commentary duties, we could soon hear some new voices on Monday Night Raw.

Whether its current talent, former talent or WWE commentators from other brands, there are many names that the company could slot into the role.

Here are seven potential additions to the WWE Raw announce team.

7. Big E

While his in-ring career has come to an end, Big E continues to bring joy to WWE audiences.

Continuing to impress on the pre-show and post-show Premium Live Event panels, Big E would be a popular addition to WWE Raw.

With lingering emotional stakes with on-screen characters, Big E can bring his one personal connection to the stories being told in the ring.

Able to join Michael Cole on commentary for WWE Raw without or without Corey Graves for a three man panel, Big E would be a welcome addition on Netflix.

6. Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch

With their real-life marriage spilling into WWE storyline lately, having Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch take up roles on Raw commentary would be a fun way to further flesh out Raw’s top angle.

With the lead up to WWE’s ESPN PLE debut Wrestlepalooza well underway, there has already been a big development. After Becky Lynch laid hands on CM Punk on last week’s WWE Raw (September 1), she ended up getting a surprising receipt on SmackDown – from a returning AJ Lee.

Becky Lynch has demonstrated in the past she has presence on commentary but incorporating their marquee feud into the entire show and would surely lead to some viral moments from their hilarious ad libs.

If the couple were to join Michael Cole on commentary throughout an episode of WWE Raw, it could end up being a highly entertaining episode.

5. CM Punk & AJ Lee

Not to be outdone, there could be another new set of guest commentators on a future episode of WWE Raw with Michael Cole – CM Punk & AJ Lee.

With the latter poised to make her return to the flagship WWE show for the first time in over 10 years on the September 8 edition – her character would have a lot to weigh-in on!

Able to bring their real life banter to the commentary desk, the duo could make an amusing pair with Michael Cole before likely being distracted by Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch and brawl off.

While the stay on commentary would likely be short-lived, it would be fun while it lasted.

4. Paul Heyman

To truly cement the notion that Seth Rollins and The Vision run WWE Raw, it could be an intriguing move to see Paul Heyman join the commentary desk.

Linking up with Michael Cole, Heyman could bring a unique perspective to all of the active storylines – providing massive insight that otherwise wouldn’t be known.

Heyman commentating throughout the night and adding his own spin to happenings as they unfold could be an insightful episode and increase The Vision’s presence on Raw.

While enjoyable for the casual viewer, Heyman on commentary would also generate discourse as he masterfully sprinkles in Easter eggs that will certainly appeal to nostalgic fans of ECW and early 2000s WWE.

3. Vic Joseph

Another name who could join Michael Cole on commentary for WWE Raw is NXT commentator, Vic Joseph.

Bringing his passionate yet steady and calm demeanor to NXT, joining forces with Michael Cole on-screen could continue to raise Joseph’s profile among fans.

Typically leading commentary alongside Booker T and Corey Graves, Joseph could step into a number two role alongside Cole, bouncing off the veteran and showing off more of his personality.

Particularly useful if planned strategically around any potential call-ups to the main roster, Vic Joseph could help make the transition smoother through providing context on each character’s history from NXT.

2. Paige & Brie Bella

With the returns of Nikki Bella and AJ Lee – it seems that some WWE fans won’t be entirely satisfied until there are two other returns as well.

With fans still speculating about Paige and Brie Bella potentially making returns to the company as well – one way to do it could be through a role on commentary.

Since both women have moved into a hosting roles on their respective podcasts, the duo could be an incredible one night only addition to Michael Cole on commentary.

Able to bring some fun to the broadcast, the combination could end up proving to be magical even if for just one episode of WWE Raw.

1. Michael Cole & Corey Graves

While WWE could bring in new and returning faces, the likeliest outcome of Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett’s absences seems to be Michael Cole and Corey Graves pulling double duty across SmackDown and Raw.

Their partnership is long established, and given that the move would likely be temporary it may be the best and most reliable option available.

Guest commentators would keep the pairing feeling fresh between both shows, so that is certainly an option WWE could look at.

With Wade Barrett expected to return in a few weeks, Cole and Graces’ double duty may not last too long, making the need for WWE to make sweeping changes to Raw’s announce team not that worthwhile.
