6 New WWE Partners For Aleister Black

After leaving AEW, Aleister Black made his return to WWE on last week’s SmackDown, and a week later, he’ll face The Miz in his return match tonight.

Black was not alone in AEW as he had the House of Black by his side, so he may look for similar alliances in WWE.

Here are six potential tag team partners for Aleister Black now that he has made his return to WWE.

6. Trick Williams

Former NXT Champion Trick Williams may seem like an unusual choice, but there are a few storyline reasons why this fits.

While Aleister Black has just returned to the scene on WWE SmackDown, he has already begun a feud with The Miz.

With Black’s return match already announced to be against The Miz, perhaps the A-Lister will be accompanied to the ring by his recent tag team partner, Carmelo Hayes.

Given Trick Williams’ recent darker turn and his long and complex history with Hayes, having him pop up as an ally to Aleister Black against Melo Don’t Miz could create a segue for his arrival on the main roster.

5. Karrion Kross

While Karrion Kross has found himself gaining fan support in recent weeks – only ramped up by a recent ‘off-script’ interview – there is a unique opportunity to launch him into a big story.

Since Aleister Black has just made his surprise return, it would be incredible for the two destructive forces be bonded into a tag team.

Finding a way to bring together the two big characters of Karrion Kross and Aleister Black into an alliance could be monumental.

Black joining forces with Karrion Kross could make an immediate impact and provide a new avenue to showcase their work inside and outside the ring.

4. Andrade

An unlikely alliance between Andrade and Aleister Black could create an incredibly dangerous tag team together – or dominating singles stars on their own.

Not only would the duo be a threatening and hard hitting force together, they share a few things in common.

Both of the pair spent time in AEW – even teaming together at one point – but they also have both been partners with Zelina Vega. While Vega served as Andrade’s on-screen manager in the past, she is Black’s real-life wife.

It would be very neat to see Zelina Vega join them in a power alliance set to reclaim the perceived lost time in their careers now that they’re back in WWE.

3. Carmelo Hayes

Aleister Black may find himself in the corner opposite Carmelo Hayes in his first match upon return when he faces Melo’s tag partner The Miz, but it would be a solid story to watch Black turn Hayes against Miz.

By recruiting Hayes and effectively breaking up the ‘Melo Don’t Miz’ tag team, Black could demonstrate his ability to manipulate the rest of the locker room, reminding his rivals that he will come after more than just wins in the ring.

While the partnership wouldn’t need to be a long-term one, teaming with Aleister Black could unlock a viciousness that is currently missing from Carmelo Hayes’ character.

Re-establishing himself as a force on the main roster, Black could end up just turning on Carmelo Hayes in the end and the ensuing match would likely be great.

2. Damian Priest

While it would make complete sense if these two went on to feud in the future, perhaps for a time there could be an alliance between Damian Priest and Aleister Black.

After Drew McIntyre beat Damian Priest at WrestleMania 41 in their Sin City Street Fight, Priest could definitely use a partner in seeking vengeance.

Given his roots in the original formation of Judgment Day, Damian Priest’s aesthetic still fits Aleister Black’s dark tone and penchant for violence.

Setting up potential future feuds between Priest, Black and McIntyre could prove to create a lot of new story potential on SmackDown.

1. Randy Orton

Aleister Black has made his babyface return to a SmackDown that doesn’t feature your typical cast of babyfaces – opening up an intriguing set of possible partnerships.

With Randy Orton set to take on John Cena at Backlash 2025, there is presumably an opportunity for Orton to be seeking some support in a tag team effort.

Marking an interesting opportunity to bring together the two stars now that they’re both babyfaces, an alliance between Aleister Black and Randy Orton could be incredible.

Randy Orton seems to make magic with anyone he is placed on-screen with but with the potential to join up early in Black’s return to WWE to help re-establish the Dutchman’s connection with the fans would be great.
