New WWE NXT Announcers

Vic Joseph and Booker T have become one of the more entertaining broadcast duos in all of WWE on the NXT brand.

However, the September 26 episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw Booker fill in for Corey Graves, which could lead to some significant changes to the pairings at the commentary desk.

With Booker working on Friday nights, it could leave his seat open next to Vic Joseph on Tuesdays if the move becomes long-term.

Here are eight potential new WWE NXT announcers.

8. Corey Graves

On the September 19 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Brock Lesnar attacked Corey Graves with two thunderous F-5s.

Now sidelined after this assault, it looks like Graves might be out of commission for a little while.

With Booker T filling the available seat at the commentary desk on SmackDown, this angle could be used to do a switch of color commentators.

Having Graves paired with Vic Joseph once again on WWE NXT could see the two men being given someone they know very well and have chemistry with moving forward on the brand.

7. Robert Stone

2025 has seen WWE introduce another new brand with the revival of Evolve on Tubi.

On the commentary call, Robert Stone and Peter Rosenberg have become the voices of the show weekly on Wednesdays.

Playing two different roles as the assistant to NXT GM Ava and on Evolve commentary, Stone has shown his worth, which could lead to another position opening up for him.

Stone coming in to become Vic Joseph’s partner on NXT could be another enjoyable pairing in a similar fashion to his chemistry with Rosenberg on WWE Evolve.

6. Peter Rosenberg

Meanwhile, Peter Rosenberg has seen his roles in WWE increase over the past couple of years.

Starting on the pre-show panel, Rosenberg has become one of the more recognizable broadcast members in the company.

Now serving as play-by-play man on WWE Evolve, Rosenberg continues to show his worth to the promotion in multiple ways.

Rosenberg moving into a role on WWE NXT would be the next evolution of his relationship with the company, while providing the show with a new, more modern voice.

5. Jeremy Borash

After a tremendous amount of success in TNA Wrestling in multiple roles over the course of 16 years, Jeremy Borash moved on to work with WWE in a backstage capacity.

In TNA, he wore several hats over the years before then doing the same for WWE.

In 2025, Borash added commentary to his list of positions for WWE when he started working alongside Vic Joseph on LFG.

Adding to his creative and production roles, Borash is a commentator who could do either play-by-play or color very easily that could benefit the call on WWE NXT.

Another member of the WWE PLE pre-show panels is former New Day member Big E.

The former WWE Champion adds a blend of humor, flair and charisma to everything he talks about, while providing a great deal of knowledge and expertise to the action as well as the storylines.

Big E working with Vic Joseph might make him one of the better color commentators in the entire WWE.

With everything he offers with his star power and experience, Big E feels like a worthy replacement for Booker T at the NXT commentary desk.

3. Mauro Ranallo

In the 2010s, there was no other voice more synonymous with one brand than Mauro Ranallo.

From his pop culture references to his genuine enthusiasm towards the product, Ranallo added to the best period in the history of the WWE NXT brand.

Mauro Ranallo returning to WWE would certainly be some big news, but it seems more likely with the company’s association with combat sports through TKO Group Holdings.

Whether it be with Vic Joseph or by the side of the always entertaining Booker T, Ranallo could be the perfect partner that can bring something great out of whomever he is at the table with.

2. Tom Hannifan

TNA Wrestling has been having constant crossovers with WWE NXT, with the Showdown event coming up next week.

Someone who’s been very vocally on TNA’s side is the promotion’s lead announcer Tom Hannifan.

Hannifan could be brought in for Showdown to help provide background on the TNA talent in action, and to make sure TNA’s voice is represented on commentary.

With his many year of experience in WWE before he joined TNA, including being the lead announcer for SmackDown and Raw, there’s no doubt he’d be trusted in such a position.

1. CM Punk

Ever since his return to WWE two years ago, CM Punk has taken an active interest in NXT.

His name has even been mentioned as someone who could run the brand in the future, taking over Shawn Michaels’ position.

Punk could start a move in that direction by joining the commentary team and getting himself familiar with all of NXT’s stars, as well as providing the added layer of entertainment that he always does as an announcer.
