With Stephanie McMahon already being announced as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026, more are sure to follow.
From well deserved posthumous inductions to legendary names that continue to impact backstage culture in WWE today — there are some top contenders for who could join the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame in 2026.
Here are nine more potential WWE Hall of Fame 2026 inductees.
9. Chris Jericho

Although he remains under contract with AEW at the minute, Chris Jericho hasn’t appeared on AEW TV since April when he dropped the ROH World Championship to Bandido and wrote himself out of AEW on the next Dynamite.
While speculation continues to swirl that Jericho could be on his way back to WWE, the status as a WWE Hall of Famer could become a hilarious new character detail.
Able to frequently and notably remind all of his opponents that he is already inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame could lead to plenty of antics for the potentially returning star.
Time will tell if Chris Jericho really departs AEW at the end of 2025 and makes his way back to WWE but at some point in the future, the longstanding star deserves to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

A legendary duo that could certainly be considered for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame are Matt & Jeff Hardy, the Hardy Boyz.
While both have had storied careers thus far, the Hardy Boyz may have other plans if they should return to WWE in the near future.
Still in active competition, the pair recently won the NXT Tag Team Championship from DarkState (Dion Lennox & Osiris Griffin), potentially intending on going on another run.
Potentially looking to delay being inducted until after retirement, the Hardy Boyz are a deserving pair to join the WWE Hall of Fame whenever it happens.

7. Shane McMahon

With Stephanie McMahon already being announced as an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026, perhaps her brother Shane McMahon will share in the honors.
Being a character on WWE TV in his own right, Shane McMahon was responsible for numerous big match moments including several daring stunts that continue to stand the test of time.
Able to be inducted by one of his in-ring rivals like the Undertaker, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles or The Miz, McMahon deserves some credit for his contributions as an on-screen performer.
With others behind the scenes likely to be able to elaborate more on McMahon’s overall contributions, it could still be a nice acknowledgement for the less public McMahon.
