On the October 28 edition of WWE NXT, Sol Ruca announced that she was officially relinquishing the WWE Speed Women’s Championship.
With the tournament set to begin on the November 4 edition of NXT, it should be interesting to see who will step up to the plate to become the new champion.
Considering the relative freshness of the Speed Women’s Title, there are a litany of stars up and down the roster who could become the next winner of the gold.
Here are eight potential new winners of the vacant WWE Speed Women’s Championship.
8. Blake Monroe
At WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2025, Blake Monroe defeated Zaria to win the NXT Women’s North American Championship.
This marked Monroe’s first title win since signing with WWE in June of this year. It also saw Zaria lose the gold for her best friend and former champion Sol Ruca.
Seeing how Monroe claimed one title that Ruca cared about so much, it would make a ton of sense for the former Mariah May to go after the other belt that Sol had as well.
Setting the stage for an eventual feud between the two, it could be Blake Monroe who captures another title in the WWE Speed Women’s Championship and gets under Sol Ruca’s skin even further.

7. Jaida Parker
No one on the WWE NXT roster has garnered more momentum and popularity in recent months than Jaida Parker.
At just 26 years old, Parker has shown a high ceiling and great potential in her three year stint in WWE so far.
Ms. Parker came up short in her first bid to capture the WWE Speed Women’s Championship against Sol Ruca at WWE NXT No Mercy 2025.
It feels like Parker is more than ready for the next step in her progression, which should come in the form of winning her first title in WWE.

6. Lainey Reid
At WWE NXT No Mercy 2025, Lainey Reid was scheduled to challenge Sol Ruca for the WWE Speed Women’s Championship.
However, it was revealed that Reid had suffered an undisclosed injury while training that caused her to be pulled from the premium live event.
Later in the same show, Reid found enough strength from her injury to interfere and help Jacy Jayne retain the NXT Women’s Championship against Lola Vice.
Now that Reid is an official member of Fatal Influence, it would make a ton of sense for Lainey to get the title opportunity that she had previously earned and bring more gold to her group.

5. Dani Sekelsky
In season two of WWE LFG, Dani Sekelsky overcame the failure of season one to win over PJ Vasa at the end.
Now that Sekelsky has earned an NXT contract, it is logical that WWE will want her to have a major debut on the brand.
With the guidance and training of The Undertaker, Sekelsky might have everything it takes to immediately win championship gold on WWE NXT.
Sekelsky coming in to win the WWE Speed Women’s Championship would immediately put eyes on the young star and make her LFG victory feel more important.

At WWE Evolve Succession, Kendal Grey defeated Kali Armstrong to win the WWE Evolve Women’s Championship.
Following this win, Grey started getting a ton of praise for her improvement inside the squared circle and being one of the most well rounded in-ring competitors in the WWE women’s division today.
After picking up a successful title defense against Lash Legend on the October 28 episode of WWE NXT, it feels like Grey could be in line for a major push on the brand.
Grey becoming a double champion by winning the WWE Speed Women’s Championship would show everyone how much the company values her abilities and sees her as a future top star for the promotion.

1. Zaria
After losing the NXT Women’s North American Championship for Sol Ruca to Blake Monroe at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2025, it feels like the frustration of Zaria has only grown.
The Australian star has been a loyal and faithful friend to Ruca through thick and thin over the past year and could feel slighted by her tag team partner.
Wanting to prove that she could have helped her keep the title, Zaria could join the field for the WWE Speed Women’s Championship Tournament.
Zaria winning the title would instantly show everyone what she is capable of and mark her first championship gold since signing with WWE in 2024.
