2025 has seen AEW once again put an increased spotlight on the men’s and women’s tag team divisions.

With the rise of new teams like Brodido and JetSpeed as well as FTR and The Young Bucks having great years, the AEW tag team scene feels fresher and more vibrant than it has in the past several years, and has only been strengthened further with the addition of the AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Looking at the free agency market, the company has the opportunity to add any number of potential duos to the tag team division to play a crucial role starting in 2026.

Here are seven new AEW tag team signings to potentially debut soon.

7. The Midnight Heat (“Rockin” Ricky Gibson & “Precious” Eddie Pearl)

The independent scene is filled with many different tag teams that could enrich the entire AEW tag team division in a major way.

One duo that has some experience working with talent on the AEW roster is The Midnight Heat.

The combination of “Rockin” Ricky Gibson and “Precious” Eddie Pearl make for a formidable tandem that work extremely well with each other.

After facing the likes of FTR and others on the AEW roster, The Midnight Heat could be ready for the next level by signing with All Elite Wrestling in the near future.

6. Violence Is Forever (Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini)

Widely regarded as one of the best tag teams in wrestling today, Violence Is Forever have been making a name for themselves since forming their pair in 2019.

The former GCW World Tag Team Champions bring their brand of violence to every duo they face in the ring and have even made their presence felt in AEW in the past.

Whether it be in a match or as an extra, Violence Is Forever has gotten several looks from AEW and could make a wonderful addition to the tag team scene right now.

Bringing something different to the table in comparison to the likes of The Young Bucks or JetSpeed, Violence Is Forever could completely alter the dynamic in the AEW tag team division upon signing.

5. Sunshine Machine (TK Cooper & Chuck Mambo)

Going over to the U.K. independent scene, Sunshine Machine have gone from one of the most popular pairings in the country to hated and detestable heels in recent months.

TK Cooper has been viewed by many as a tag team specialist winning gold with different partners over the past few years, while Chuck Mambo has made for Cooper’s ideal counterpart.

With their eccentric personalities and new aggressive attitudes, Cooper and Mambo could make an interesting addition that could make them a highlight of AEW TV.

Sunshine Machine clashing with the likes of Brodido, Hurt Syndicate and Top Flight would bring something completely different into play for the AEW tag team scene.

On the December 10 Winter Is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite, Babes of Wrath defeated Timeless Love Bombs to become the first ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.

With the recent introduction of these new titles, AEW would be wise to add some duos from the independent scene to the Women’s Tag Team Championship picture.

Looking at the indies, The Sea Stars have been a pairing for a decade now, first coming together in 2015.

The duo of Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo could bring their teamwork and chemistry into the tag team scene, adding something unique to the new division.

Kid Lykos and Kid Lykos II recently teamed with Mark Andrews in a trios match against Mascara Dorada, Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong on the AEW Dark Stocking Stuffer special.

After making another AEW appearance, Lyko Gym could potentially impress the company enough to get a more regular role.

Wanting to add this notable UK indie tag team to their division, it could benefit in putting more of a spotlight on the AEW tag team scene with Lykos Gym at play.

2. The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows)

Former WWE stars Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

Back in February 2025, The Good Brothers were released by WWE in another round of talent cuts.

Since then, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have returned to the indies, NJPW and made their debut for Major League Wrestling.

Not signing anywhere as of yet, Gallows and Anderson have been showing their worth to several different promotions with the chance to sign a big money deal at some point.

The Good Brothers returning to AEW to officially join the tag team scene could work very well considering their past with several duos on the roster right now.

1. The Cosmic Angels (Natsupoi & Saori Anou)

The Cosmic Angels are one of the most popular stables in all of World Wonder Ring STARDOM in Japan.

After the recent retirement of Tam Nakano in 2025, The Cosmic Angels have gotten a bit of a makeover that has seen Natsupoi and Saori Anou taking more of a prominent role in the faction.

Natsupoi and Anou have plenty of history with several members of the AEW roster, such as Mina Shirakawa and Thekla.

The Cosmic Angels officially debuting in AEW could be just the boost the Women’s Tag Team Championship scene needs after its recent introduction.
