After months of speculation and murmurs about his possible comeback either WWE or AEW, Chris Jericho is back in All Elite Wrestling.
On the April 1 edition of AEW Dynamite from Winnipeg, Jericho made his return to the company for the first time in nearly a year.
Now that he is back in the fold for the promotion, Jericho could have any number of directions that he can go in following this return on Dynamite.
Here are six new potential AEW plans for Chris Jericho after Dynamite return.
6. Start His New Faction
Chris Jericho has returned to All Elite Wrestling, which could open the door for a new faction to emerge led by the legend.
Throughout his seven-year run with the company, Jericho has led several different groups and could develop a new one moving forward.
From The Inner Circle to The Learning Tree, these groups have put the spotlight on Jericho, while trying to use his star power to enhance other talent on the AEW roster.
Jericho starting a new faction could help other stars by giving them a prominent role to be featured on AEW TV over the next few months.
5. Reunion With Don Callis & Joining The Family
Following Chris Jericho’s return in Winnipeg, fans could see him reunite with his longtime friend and confidant.
Over the last 30 years, Jericho and Don Callis have been close friends inside and outside the squared circle.
Now with Jericho back in the fold, he returns to a company where the Don Callis Family has become an overwhelming force with over 15 members.
Callis reuniting with Jericho and bringing him into his Family would be an interesting direction to go and tell a story of how the rest of the faction reacts to the addition of such a massive ego like the former AEW World Champion.

4. Rivalry With Swerve Strickland
Chris Jericho is someone who has feuded with a who’s who of the AEW roster over the course of his run with the company.
Looking at the AEW roster, the biggest name that has never feuded or even interacted with Jericho is Swerve Strickland.
Coming off the heels of his loss to Kenny Omega on the March 25 edition of AEW Dynamite, Strickland could start a rivalry with the legend that helped build this company right from the start.
Giving Swerve another big rival, Jericho could remain a babyface after receiving a positive reaction upon his return in his hometown by taking on “The Most Dangerous Man in AEW.”
3. Unfinished Business With Hangman Adam Page
All the way back at AEW All Out 2019, Chris Jericho became the first ever AEW World Champion by defeating “Hangman” Adam Page.
When this match took place, some fans believed it would be the first of many matches between the two men, but that wasn’t meant to be.
In fact, Jericho has never had a rematch with Page in over seven years of both stars working in All Elite Wrestling.
Now that “Hangman” can no longer challenge for the AEW World Title, it would make a ton of sense to see Page face off with Jericho once more to start his newest redemption back to the top.

2. Cost Kenny Omega The AEW World Title Against MJF At Dynasty 2026
Another major star on the AEW roster that Chris Jericho has only faced once during their time in the company is Kenny Omega.
When Jericho made his return to AEW on the April 1 Dynamite, it was before the MJF vs. Kenny Omega Dynasty contract signing in Winnipeg.
Over the course of their careers, Jericho and Omega have only faced twice with Kenny winning their first match in NJPW, while the inaugural AEW World Champion got his revenge with a victory at Double Or Nothing 2019.
Now all these years later, Jericho could rekindle his rivalry with Omega by costing him the AEW World Title against MJF at AEW Dynasty 2026.
1. Challenge For The AEW World Title
Feeling like this might be the final run for his long and storied career, All Elite Wrestling should reestablish Chris Jericho as a headliner.
The simplest way to place Jericho back into the main event picture is by having him challenge for the AEW World Championship.
Whether it be MJF or Kenny Omega coming out of AEW Dynasty as the champion, Jericho could challenge the winner of this match.
Jericho trying to become a two-time AEW World Champion feels like an important story to tell and cement his place in the history of the company moving forward.
