More WWE Tag Teams To Split Up

Share

There has been a lot of movement within alliances in the weeks after WWE WrestleMania 41 with several break-ups already.

While many of the splits have occurred in NXT, the main roster is never exempt from betrayals that lead to the crumbling of alliances when storylines dictate it.

Here are seven more WWE tag teams that could split up soon.

7. The Bloodline

Despite Solo Sikoa’s attempts to establish himself as the leader of a new Bloodline, he hasn’t really been successful.

While Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa are out of action due to injury, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu remain in a shaky alliance.

With Fatu having captured the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania 41, it will be interesting to see how the dynamic between the pair progresses.

Solo Sikoa has yet to claim any titles on the main roster and is seemingly prone to violent jealousy so the eventual explosion between the pair seems likely.

6. Damage CTRL

WWE stars Kairi Sane, IYO SKY, Dakota Kai and Asuka, collectively known as Damage CTRL

IYO SKY is the WWE Women’s World Champion but the rest of the members of Damage CTRL are largely missing in action.

Asuka and Kairi Sane remain out of action due to injury and have not been on TV since May and December 2024 respectively.

While Dakota Kai herself clarified on social media that she is “not hurt btw”, she too has been out of action for well over a month.

It may be time for the group to finally disband, perhaps upon the return of the Kabuki Warriors who may elect to stick together, but turn on Kai and SKY.

5. Melo Don’t Miz

While Carmelo Hayes and The Miz have been partners for a short time, perhaps their alliance is meant for a larger purpose.

With the WWE return of Aleister Black – who immediately took out The Miz – perhaps Carmelo Hayes is set for a program with the former AEW star.

Either way, it seems that the partnership of The Miz and Carmelo Hayes is not meant to last particularly long.

Perhaps fans will finally see Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes reunited on the main roster eventually.

4. Legado Del Fantasma

While a lot of fun in NXT, the main roster version of Legado Del Fantasma has failed to capture fans’ imaginations to the same extent.

Not particularly hated but also no longer as beloved, it may be time for a whole new combination in the faction.

Angel and Berto could return to WWE NXT and have a dominant run in the tag team division while Santos Escobar moves on to something else entirely.

Perhaps Escobar is the solution to Dominik Mysterio’s quest for a new member in Judgment Day, or he could re-align with another pair of familiar faces who could also see their faction break down soon…

3. LWO

With Rey Mysterio out with injury and Zelina Vega having been drafted to SmackDown, the LWO now is down to three members.

Dragon Lee remains in active competition as well as Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro. However, everyone could use a character refresh at this point.

While Dragon Lee could fall in with the seemingly emerging Luchador division in WWE, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro might find themselves back in NXT or even joining another group.

Santos Escobar could reunite with Wilde and Del Toro to recreate the original version of LDF from NXT years ago.

2. The Pure Fusion Collective

Since the departure of their third member Sonya Deville, the pair of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark have continued together as a team.

However, it may be time for the two to part ways as it seems their alliance has run its course.

The duo could likely have an intriguing feud against one another if WWE wanted to go that route.

Perhaps Shayna Baszler could resume her unlikely former tag team with Lola Vice in NXT.

1. DIY

Suffering a losing streak after dropping the WWE Tag Team Championship, the on-again-off-again friendship between DIY could be headed towards a split.

However instead of any sort of betrayal, it may make the most sense for the WWE Draft to end up splitting this pair and sending Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa their separate ways.

Particularly with Ciampa’s recent makeover – ditching the facial hair entirely – perhaps change is coming for the former WWE Tag Team Champions.

They both remain beloved NXT alumni, so perhaps there is an opportunity at the Performance Center… maybe General Manager Ava could use a new enforcer, and a respected NXT veteran like Ciampa or Gargano would fit perfectly.
