On the April 6 edition of Monday Night Raw, Dominik Mysterio attacked Finn Balor from behind before his scheduled match against JD McDonagh.
Later in the night, Balor teased the arrival of “The Demon” to face “Dirty Dom” at WrestleMania 42.
While he stated he is bringing this persona back for his rivalry with Mysterio, “The Demon” could potentially have more matches after the persona’s return at “The Showcase of the Immortals.”
Here are seven more potential WWE matches for Demon Finn Balor after WrestleMania 42.
7. Aleister Black

Aleister Black & Zelina first aligned on WWE TV on the October 17 episode of SmackDown
Ever since making his WWE return in April 2025, Aleister Black has been reestablishing himself as a threat to anyone on the roster.
Bringing back his sinister persona, Black has aligned himself with his wife Zelina to cause chaos for many of the stars on Friday Night SmackDown.
Following WrestleMania 42, Black could do the same thing to someone like Finn Balor, which may lead to a showdown with “The Demon.”
Demon Finn Balor facing off with Black could be a battle of supernatural characters that fans have not see in a long time.
6. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre & Finn Balor last wrestled one-on-one on the June 10, 2024 episode of WWE Raw
Drew McIntyre is no stranger to Finn Balor from their battles in years’ past.
“The Scottish Warrior” last faced off with Balor in 2024 and things have changed for both men since then.
Knowing the kind of competitor McIntyre has proven to be, Balor might find it necessary to bust out his most intimidating persona.
Demon Finn Balor emerging to square off with McIntyre could make for a formidable matchup that may be enough to take down the former Undisputed WWE Champion.
5. Uncle Howdy

Uncle Howdy finally reclaimed Bray Wyatt’s lantern on the April 3, 2026 episode of SmackDown
There might not be a more supernatural and spooky character on the WWE roster today than Uncle Howdy.
The Wyatt Sicks leader has adopted the traits that made his brother Bray Wyatt stand out from the pack.
From the group of misfits to the signature lantern, Howdy feels like someone who can match the haunting vibes of Demon Finn Balor.
Considering his past with Bray Wyatt from their own rivalry in the past, Balor would find it necessary to bring out “The Demon” to take down Howdy as a threat.
4. Oba Femi

Oba Femi was officially called up to WWE’s main roster from NXT in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble
At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, Oba Femi made his debut in the company as an entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.
Ever since then, Femi has been a force to be reckoned with and has taken down anyone in front of him.
“The Ruler” is on the road to a showdown with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, which may be the biggest match of his career.
Facing down with the powerful and intimidating force of nature that is Oba, Demon Finn Balor would feel necessary for him to have a chance to beat the former two-time NXT Champion.
3. Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor’s only one-on-one meeting came at WWE Royal Rumble 2019
Back at WWE Royal Rumble 2019, Brock Lesnar defeated Finn Balor to retain the WWE Universal Championship.
This bout saw Balor try to overcome “The Beast Incarnate” as himself, instead of relying on his Demon alter ego.
Many fans have viewed this as a mistake by the former WWE Universal Champion years later and could be something rectified in a rematch.
Demon Finn Balor facing off with Brock would give him more of a fighting chance than he was able to put up during their initial meeting seven years ago.
2. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns defeated Demon Finn Balor at WWE Extreme Rules 2021
At WWE Extreme Rules 2021, Roman Reigns defeated Demon Finn Balor to retain the WWE Universal Championship.
This bout is remembered to many fans as the match where the aura behind “The Demon” persona really ended.
Looking to recover from this heartbreaking loss, Balor might need to once again square off with “The OTC” all these years later.
Demon Finn Balor taking down Reigns would be the redemption that his fans have wanted for him ever since he came up short in his bid to become a two-time Universal Champion.
1. CM Punk

CM Punk defeated Finn Balor in his hometown of Chicago at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026
On the January 19 episode of WWE Raw, CM Punk defeated Finn Balor to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.
Then after this rivalry continued, Punk was able to pick up another victory over Balor to once again retain his title at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026.
These two matches saw Balor as himself trying to capture his first world title in WWE since his Universal Title win back at SummerSlam 2016.
Wanting to redeem himself from those losses earlier this year, Demon Finn Balor may be the difference for another showdown against Punk down the road.
