More WWE Main Roster Stars To Join NXT

WWE NXT has become known as a place where stagnating Raw or SmackDown stars can go for a much needed career boost and refresh of their characters.

Looking at the landscape of NXT heading into August there are many available spots in the men’s, women’s and tag team divisions that could be filled by more main roster talent.

Here are seven more WWE main roster stars to potentially join NXT.

7. Nia Jax

On the July 29 edition of WWE NXT, Nia Jax made a surprise appearance to attack Lash Legend, costing her a match with Fallon Henley of Fatal Influence.

The former WWE Women’s Champion has pretty much done everything she can on the main roster and faced a who’s who of talent there as well.

Jax kickstarting a rivalry with Legend could lead to a more long term stint for the 2024 Queen of the Ring to stay on WWE NXT.

While the NXT women’s division is the deepest in the company, Jax adds a great deal of star power and experience to the scene where she could be better utilized in a prominent spot.

6. Maxxine Dupri

Maxxine Dupri is someone who has been viewed as a hard worker that is always trying to improve inside of the squared circle.

While she started over in the WWE NXT brand, Dupri did not spend too much time there and immediately made her debut on the main roster just one year after signing a contract.

Dupri still has things that she needs improvement on inside the squared circle and could make a return to NXT.

Maxxine joining the WWE NXT women’s division could lead to brand new opportunities and give her the space to steadily improve without the limelight of the main roster.

5. Austin Theory

On the July 21 edition of WWE Raw, Grayson Waller announced that Austin Theory suffered an injury and put an end to their A-Town Down Under tag team in the process.

The former two-time United States Champion has had a rollercoaster run in the WWE since signing back in 2019.

After two separate stints with NXT, it might be time for Theory to make a third run on the brand when he is ready to return to the ring.

Helping get his feet under him following his injury and find some much needed momentum, Theory would feel like someone who could be in the upper echelon of the NXT men’s division immediately.

4. B-Fab

Another WWE star who could be in need of further growth inside the squared circle by heading to the Performance Center and going back to NXT is B-Fab.

The former Hit Row member has been sparingly used on WWE TV and is currently aligned with both Street Profits and Michin over on SmackDown.

B-Fab could greatly benefit from another run on the WWE NXT brand where she could continue her progression without the microscope that is given to talent on Raw and SmackDown.

Wanting to see her get to a stage where she can compete with some of the best on the WWE main roster, B-Fab could gain a lot from a second stint in NXT that will benefit her in the long term.

3. Michin

WWE star Michin

Speaking of B-Fab’s tag team partner, Michin has been someone who has not been prominently featured as much as she was before.

Back in December, Michin made it to the finals of the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Championship tournament where she lost to Chelsea Green at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

After losing rematches against Green, Michin has found herself on the outside looking in the main picture on the SmackDown brand.

Michin making the move back down to WWE NXT would be very helpful where she could face off with the likes of Jacy Jayne, Jaida Parker and Lola Vice.

2. New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate)

WWE's New Catch Republic

New Catch Republic reunited to make their in-ring return back in March over on Monday Night Raw, but this remains their only tag team match on WWE main programming.

While the duo have competed on WWE Main Event, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate have been absent from Raw with many fans questioning their status.

After recently revealing that he is healthy and ready to go, Bate seems poised to make an in-ring comeback, while Dunne is reportedly rumored to potentially be the latest El Grande Americano variant.

Despite any potential plans on the WWE main roster, New Catch Republic could help to put the spotlight back on the NXT tag team division where they could give teams like Hank & Tank, DarkState and The Culling their best matches.

1. The Miz

2025 has been a quiet year for two-time WWE Grand Slam Champion The Miz.

Taking more of an elder statesman role on SmackDown, “The A Lister” is usually featured against up-and-coming talent that pick up wins against some with an illustrious resumé.

Despite being with WWE for 20 years, The Miz has never had an extended period on NXT even though he was a “Pro” on the original season of the show.

With a current weakened state of the NXT men’s division, The Miz would bring a major boost in star power to the scene and become a potential PLE challenger for current NXT Champion Oba Femi.
