More WWE Heel Turns Coming Soon

On the June 22 edition of Monday Night Raw, Paige and Brie Bella defeated Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. After the match, Valkyria turned on Bayley with a vicious assault.

This was the first heel turn for Lyra Valkyria since signing with WWE in 2020 and will cause some changes in the Raw women’s division.

Now after this moment, there could be a whole lot more heel turns on WWE programming moving forward.

Here are seven more WWE heel turns potentially coming soon.

7. Maxxine Dupri

Someone who fans have been keeping their eye on as of late is former WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri.

Over the past few months, eagle eyed viewers have noticed Dupri talking to The Vision’s Austin Theory in backstage segments.

Despite this tease, Dupri has stayed with the Alpha Academy and even turned down the apology of Chad Gable for the entire group on the June 22 WWE Raw.

Maxxine betraying Alpha Academy herself and joining forces with The Vision would be a nice development to bring out a different side of Dupri’s personality.

6. Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton has been one of the most popular babyfaces in the WWE women’s division for almost two years now.

While she usually garners some of the loudest crowd reactions of any other female star, Stratton might be better utilized as a character when she is a heel.

Retaining some bad blood with the likes of Charlotte Flair and teasing a feud with Alexa Bliss as well, fans could see Stratton once again back in the heel role.

Stratton has everything it takes to be the top heel of the SmackDown women’s division if she chose to turn sometime down the line.

5. Damian Priest

Over the past few months, Damian Priest has focused on the tag team division as he formed a new pairing with R-Truth.

Then in March, Truth and Priest beat The MFTs to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.

While their friendship has remained intact, there have been cracks forming between Truth and Priest due to their differences in trusting others.

Priest betraying Truth would show that he is not willing to allow his friend to hold him back.

4. Ilja Dragunov

Ilja Dragunov has been someone who fans have been wondering about in regards to when or if he can find a prominent role on WWE TV again.

There is no doubt that Dragunov finds a way to get over with any audience he performs in front of, but WWE might need to develop a character or make a change to get eyes on him before the bell rings again.

Using his well documented intensity, Dragunov feels like someone who would greatly benefit from a heel turn.

‘The Mad Dragon’ is already one of the best in-ring workers in WWE today, but a heel turn could be that missing ingredient that is holding him back from further heights in his career.

3. LA Knight

In recent months, LA Knight has been in direct opposition with The Bloodline, pointing out the group’s past and actions over the years.

‘The Megastar’ has held nothing back in his criticism of Roman Reigns and will stop at nothing from being the one to take down ‘The OTC.’

On the June 22 edition of Monday Night Raw, Knight defeated Jimmy Uso thanks to an unlikely assist from Solo Sikoa.

After accepting help from the always deplorable Sikoa, Knight has a path to turn heel during this feud with The Bloodline and find that spark that can lead him to his first world championship.

2. CM Punk

Since making his WWE return in 2023, CM Punk has firmly established himself as one of the most beloved stars in the company.

‘The Best In The World’ walks into every building and gets one of the biggest – if not THE biggest – reactions from the fans night after night.

Prior to his ongoing hiatus from WWE TV, Punk was embroiled in a feud with Roman Reigns, which caused some fans to choose between the two men.

Wanting to embrace his heel instincts for the first time since his pro wrestling return in 2021, Punk has the opportunity to become one of the most compelling and layered heels in all of WWE today.

1. Cody Rhodes

Another top WWE star who has teased a potential heel turn in the future is Cody Rhodes.

‘The American Nightmare’ has been one of the most popular names on the WWE roster since making his comeback in 2022.

Over the past few months, fans have witnessed Rhodes get wins due to controversy and his much maligned rivalry with Randy Orton ahead of WrestleMania 42.

In what would be a risky move due to his merchandise success, Rhodes turning heel would send shockwaves throughout the industry and could be exactly what WWE needs right now.
