The main event of AEW Full Gear saw Samoa Joe win his second AEW World Championship, defeating Hangman Adam Page following a massive assist from The Opps.
With former Opps member HOOK officially rejoining the group after striking Hangman Page with the AEW World Title gold, perhaps more new faces could soon follow and join Joe’s ranks.
Here are five more AEW stars to potentially join The Opps after Samoa Joe’s AEW World Title win.
5. Eddie Kingston

Eddie Kingston was in very close proximity to everything that went down during the closing stages of the AEW World Title match at Full Gear, with “The Mad King” attempting to fight off The Opps on Hangman’s behalf when Katsuyori Shibata was attempting to climb the cage.
However, with he and Shibata brawling into the backstage area, Kingston was nowhere to be seen when his current tag team partner HOOK took to the ring and attacked Hangman.
While HOOK and Kingston have been a successful tandem since forming, it will be interesting to see if the veteran follows his young partner and joins The Opps, or instead remains a babyface and helps Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland in their fight against them.
While Kingston is a beloved figure, it would make for another big twist in this angle should he turn heel for the first time in many years.

4. Big Bill

While Big Bill is featured fairly regularly on AEW TV, it feels as if the company could be using him in a more prominent role than they have been since he and Bryan Keith split from Chris Jericho.
Possessing size and great promo ability, Bill has all the tools to be pushed more and is a prime candidate to join The Opps should Samoa Joe be looking for more muscle in the group.
Whether joining alongside Bryan Keith as a tag team within The Opps, or on his own, the shift would help establish Bill as someone to be taken seriously going into 2026.
With Joe intent on retain his AEW World Title well into the new year and beyond, Big Bill would make for a perfect addition to his ranks.

3. Buddy Matthews

Synonymous with factions since joining AEW, Buddy Matthews would make for another prime candidate to join The Opps given that his former group the Hounds of Hell is seemingly no more.
With Julia Hart now a part of the Triangle of Madness and Brody King forming one half of Brodido, Matthews may return to AEW without direction.
While it’s unclear exactly when the Australian star will be fit and ready to compete again following his serious ankle injury in March, one would expect that sometime in early 2026 may be a reasonable estimate.
Given his imposing presence and size, Matthews would fit right in as fresh new addition to The Opps, while also providing him a platform to move beyond AEW’s mid card.

2. Kamille

While The Opps has only ever comprised of male stars, perhaps there could be room for a dominant female performer to stand alongside them?
After debuting as Mercedes Mone’s bodyguard in the Summer of 2024, Kamille disappeared from TV as soon as she quit that role – with the company yet to reintroduce her in a new role or provide any update on why she’s been kept on the sidelines.
Given that she only recently signed with AEW in 2024, fans have barely had a chance to see what the former NWA Women’s World Champion is all about – which is a great shame given her obvious potential.
Much like Jon Moxley did for Marina Shafir in the Death Riders, Samoa Joe could potentially provide Kamille a major career boost by having her flank him in The Opps – with the 33-year-old likely able to stand toe-to-toe with many of the male stars on the roster.

1. Keith Lee

Keith Lee, like Kamille, is another AEW star who has been off TV for some time – leaving his status in the company massively uncertain.
In Lee’s case however there are many extra uncertainties, with questions over his health and injury status persisting despite Lee himself telling fans that he will make his return to the ring.
If that return is to take place in AEW, then fans will be hoping we won’t have to wait too much longer to see the “Limitless” one show back up given that it has now almost been two years exactly since his last appearance.
While his return will likely see a big babyface response, Lee’s size and presence makes him an obvious pick for The Opps – with the group allowing him to reinvent himself as a no-nonsense and aggressive heel version of himself that can immediately be featured prominently on TV rather than fading into the background.
