Mercedes Moné has not been seen on AEW television since dropping the TBS Championship and being embarrassed on the January 7 edition of AEW Dynamite.
Since then, Moné has been travelling all over the world, losing her impressive collection of championship gold in the process.
With “The CEO” looking set to return to AEW soon, here are six potential plans for when that happens.
6. Rematch With Willow Nightingale For TBS Title

On the December 31 New Year’s Smash edition of AEW Dynamite, Willow Nightingale defeated Mercedes Moné to win the TBS Championship.
This win ended Moné’s historic 584-day reign that set the record for the longest run of any TBS Champion in the title’s history.
After this victory for Nightingale, she is now 1-1 with Moné during their time in All Elite Wrestling.
Following a few months away from the company, Moné’s return could see “The CEO” coming back to reclaim the gold that she held so proudly for over a year and get her rematch against Willow right after her comeback.
5. Revenge On Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron

Following her TBS Title win, Willow Nightingale got a celebration for her victory featuring her friends Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron on the January 7 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Mercedes Moné came out to interrupt this celebration and freaked out over losing her TBS Championship.
This led to the babyfaces tripping Moné up and her landing in a cake before taunting “The CEO” for her embarrassment.
After her claim that she was coming for more than just titles when she came back, Moné could be looking for revenge on the likes of Statlander and Cameron for their disrespect.
4. Turning Babyface

When Mercedes Moné made her AEW debut, she was greeted with applause and cheers from the company’s fanbase.
While it did not take long for “The CEO” to turn heel, there has been some positive reactions for Monè throughout her time in All Elite Wrestling.
After losing her collection of gold, Moné could come back to AEW more humbled and wanting to redeem herself to the fans.
Mercedes turning babyface by helping those she kept down for the past two years would be interesting as she tries to regain the trust of the fans and her fellow AEW stars along the way.

3. Going After More Gold Against ROH Women’s World Champion Athena

During her reign on top of the AEW women’s division, there are not a lot of titles that Mercedes Moné did not either claim or at the very least challenge for.
Back in the 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, Moné defeated Athena to advance to the finals.
Following their showdown, Moné and Athena established a tentative partnership that saw the two ladies challenge for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships.
After her win over “The Fallen Goddess” last year, Moné might be the only woman capable of finally dethroning Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship after over three years with the title.
2. Becoming The First Entrant In 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

One of the only titles that is still in Mercedes Moné’s possession after her recent run of losses is the Owen Hart Foundation Title.
As the reigning Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup winner, it makes sense for Moné to want to reenter the tournament this year.
Looking to finally win the one title that has eluded her over the past two years, Mercedes could want nothing more than to finally become the AEW Women’s World Champion.
Moné becoming the first entrant in the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament makes a lot of sense and could set the course for her run to the top prize in the AEW women’s division at All In: London this year.
1. Challenging Thekla For AEW Women’s World Championship

While she could want to become the first back-to-back Women’s Owen Hart Foundation winner, Mercedes Moné has what it takes to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship without that.
With Moné away from the promotion, Thekla has emerged as one of the fastest rising stars in the entire AEW women’s division.
On the February 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, Thekla defeated Kris Statlander to become the new AEW Women’s World Champion.
Now that a new champion stands at the forefront, “The CEO” might be the only one capable of taking down “The Toxic Spider” for the gold.
