WWE has started a new trend where NXT stars make appearances on the main roster prior to getting called up as an audition of sorts.
The NXT talent who has been seen the most by the main roster audience throughout 2025 has to be Je’Von Evans.
At just 21 years old, new reports have indicated that WWE has big plans for Evans when he finally makes his official jump to Raw or SmackDown.
Here are seven potential Je’Von Evans WWE main roster call-up plans.
7. Answering The Open Challenge To Win The United States Championship From Ilja Dragunov

During Sami Zayn’s United States Championship reign, Je’Von Evans answered one of his open challenges on an episode of SmackDown in September.
In a strong showing, Evans showcased his skills and why many feel he will be the future of the company.
It would be Ilja Dragunov that would go on to dethrone Zayn and has since adopted his US Title Open Challenge.
“The Young OG” could once again answer the open challenge with this time being an even better effort from Evans to win the United States Championship and earn a permanent spot on SmackDown.

6. Tag Team With Leon Slater Comes To The Main Roster

At TNA Bound For Glory 2025, Je’Von Evans challenged Leon Slater for the TNA X-Division Championship.
After an athletic spectacle between the two young stars, NXT’s Dark State made their presence known with an attack on both Evans and Slater.
This led to a partnership being formed between Evans and Slater with the two men becoming a popular pairing on WWE NXT. Now, Leon and Je’Von are set to face AJ Styles and Dragon Lee for the WWE World Tag Team Championships on the December 13 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
A victory against Styles and Lee could see this tag team of Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater getting called up to the WWE main roster to bring their exciting style to Raw or SmackDown.

5. Called Up As NXT Champion

Over the course of the past two years, Je’Von Evans has been in pursuit of the NXT Championship.
Having vied for the title in singles and multi-man action, Evans will inevitably capture the NXT Championship down the road.
After coming up short against Oba Femi for the title on the December 9 edition of WWE NXT, it seems like Evans will have to wait a little longer to finally accomplish his goals.
WWE could wait for “The Young OG” to defeat Femi to become the new NXT Champion and then head to the main roster where he could elevate the brand even further.

4. Getting Revenge On GUNTHER

On the November 17 edition of WWE Raw, GUNTHER defeated Je’Von Evans to advance in the Last Time Is Now Tournament.
This loss was significant for Evans because the bout marked the first match of his career to take place on Monday Night Raw.
Now that GUNTHER is set to face John Cena in his final match, “The Ring General” will have a ton of momentum coming out of the event and would make a potential win over him that much more tantalizing.
Je’Von getting revenge on GUNTHER could become his first goal on the main roster, looking to join the elite group of men who have pinned him in WWE.

The Vision has taken over Monday Night Raw as of late with Paul Heyman leading Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Logan Paul.
Since excommunicating Seth Rollins in October, Heyman has stated that The Vision is his and represents the future of the pro wrestling industry.
With Paul, Reed and Breakker by his side, Heyman could look to the WWE NXT brand to recruit a new member of The Vision.
At just 21 years old, Je’Von Evans feels like someone who has the potential to spend the next two decades as a major star for WWE and could be solidified in that status by joining The Vision on Raw.

2. Officially Debuting In The Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble is usually the home of many returns and debuts of different stars on the roster.
Whether it be coming back from injury or just signing with the company, the Rumble has worked as a proving ground for talent making their way back or to the promotion.
Like many NXT stars in the past, Je’Von Evans could use this stipulation to announce his official arrival on Raw or SmackDown.
“The Young OG” is one of the thrilling in-ring performers in WWE today and has everything it takes to stand out immediately in his debut in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match next year.

1. Challenging Dominik Mysterio For The Intercontinental Championship

Dominik Mysterio has firmly cemented himself as WWE’s breakout star of 2025.
After winning the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41, Mysterio did not rest on his laurels and set his sights on the AAA Mega Championship before capturing that title to become a double champion.
Now that “Dirty Dom” has regained the I.C. Title at WWE Survivor Series 2025, the company would be wise to give Je’Von Evans a title shot upon his official callup.
Challenging Dominik Mysterio for the gold could be among the biggest matches in the young career of Evans and help him to immediately make an impact on the WWE main roster.
