On April 7, WWE commentator Joe Tessitore appeared on ESPN’s Get Up to announce the cards for both nights of WrestleMania 42.
With 13 matches announced at the time of this writing, there is still time for WWE to add more bouts to the lineups for Mania.
Whether it be title contests or grudge matches, these additions could make ‘The Show of Shows’ even more must watch with this being the first Mania on ESPN Unlimited.
Here are six final matches to potentially be added to WWE WrestleMania 42.
6. WWE Women’s United States Championship: Giulia (c) vs. Tiffany Stratton
Over the past few weeks, Tiffany Stratton has started to set her sights on the WWE Women’s United States Championship.
This led to Giulia picking up a win over Stratton in a non-title match on the March 27 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
Despite this loss, it feels like Stratton will eventually get a shot at the gold against ‘The Beautiful Madness.’
Stratton facing off with Giulia would mark the first time the WWE Women’s United States Championship would be defended on a PLE since being introduced at the end of 2024.
5. The MFTs (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Talla Tonga & JC Mateo) vs. The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy)
Over the past six months, The MFTs and The Wyatt Sicks have been at each other’s throats.
Solo Sikoa’s Family Tree stole the signature lantern belonging to Uncle Howdy which led to issues arising even more between the two factions.
While Tama Tonga voluntarily gave the lantern back to Howdy, there could be one last battle between The MFTs and The Wyatt Sicks at WrestleMania 42.
Looking to close the book on this ongoing feud, WWE could deliver one massive eight-man tag team blowoff between The Wyatt Sicks and The MFTs in Las Vegas.
4. WWE Tag Team Championship: Damian Priest & R-Truth (c) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)
On the March 20 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Damian Priest and R-Truth defeated The MFTs to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.
To solidify themselves as champions, Priest and Truth successfully defended the titles against The Miz and Kit Wilson on the April 3 SmackDown.
Meanwhile, The Motor City Machine Guns have been trying to find themselves back into title contention.
Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley getting a spot on the WrestleMania 42 card would be fitting, allowing Priest and Truth to get the WWE Tag Team Championship a match on the two-night premium live event that it was denied last year.
3. The Original El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano In A Mask vs. Mask Match
At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, The Original El Grande Americano made his return to the company as an entrant in the men’s Royal Rumble match.
Since then, The Original El Grande has been feuding with the other El Grande Americano in both WWE and Lucha Libre AAA.
With things heating up as of late, both luchadors have been trying to prove themselves as the one and only El Grande Americano.
A Mask vs. Mask Match to finally unmask one of these men feel like the perfect blowoff for this battle of Americanos at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
2. Jelly Roll & Danhausen vs. The Miz & Kit Wilson
After making his in-ring debut at WWE SummerSlam 2025, Jelly Roll has returned to the company and stepped back in the ring.
On the March 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Jelly defeated Kit Wilson to score his first victory in the ring.
Over the past few weeks, Jelly has feuded with both Wilson and The Miz, while both heels have been cursed by Danhausen.
Jelly teaming with Danhausen in his in-ring debut would guarantee some spotlight for both men against Miz and Kit on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’
1. IYO SKY vs. Asuka
In 2025, Asuka returned to WWE and looked to reunite with both Kairi Sane and IYO SKY.
Wanting to prove herself as both ladies’ senpai, this led to Asuka becoming jealous of IYO’s success and eventually turning on her.
As of late, Asuka’s domineering treatment of Kairi has seen SKY try to convince Sane to stand on her own away from ‘The Empress of Tomorrow.’
After she called out her former protegè for a match to give her a final lesson in the ring, IYO and Asuka should do battle at WrestleMania 42 in what could be a showstealing encounter.
