At AEW Revolution 2026, several different stars made their return to the company throughout the night.
From Adam Copeland and Christian Cage to Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay, these notable names made a huge impact on one of the most exciting nights in recent memory.
Now with AEW Dynasty 2026 on the horizon, the company could offer some more returning talent that may make that evening from Vancouver just as special.
Here are ten potential returns at AEW Dynasty 2026.
10. Queen Aminata

Ahead of the first ever women’s Blood & Guts match in November 2025, Queen Aminata became sidelined with a serious neck injury that put her on the shelf.
Over the past few months, Aminata has kept the fans briefed on her recovery process and how well she was progressing with stepping back in the squared circle.
Recently, Aminata revealed that she had started training to make her in-ring return in the coming months.
Wanting to get back in the mix with the recent absence of Timeless Toni Storm, Aminata could make a comeback at AEW Dynasty 2026 where she might want to rekindle her rivalry with the current AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla.
9. Wardlow

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025, Wardlow made his return to the company and immediately joined the Don Callis Family.
The three-time TNT Champion unfortunately suffered an injury that has kept him sidelined ever since.
Recovering from his torn pectoral muscle, Wardlow could be on the road back to All Elite Wrestling after recently being seen backstage at AEW Revolution.
Wardlow returning at AEW Dynasty 2026 could see him get back in the mix and reunite with the Don Callis Family, helping them regain some of their momentum following a few key losses.
8. Brian Cage

Another Don Callis Family member who could be about to make his return to All Elite Wrestling is Brian Cage.
Shortly after joining forces with Callis, Cage became sidelined with a serious knee injury that required three surgeries.
It was recently revealed that Cage was set to make his in-ring return for the independent promotion, Warrior Wrestling.
Cage stepping back in the squared circle is a good sign that fans might be close to seeing him return to AEW potentially at the Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view.
7. The Butcher & The Blade

Back in 2024, The Blade revealed that he was forced to undergo back fusion surgery following years of damage.
While he remained active for some time after his tag team partner’s injury, The Butcher started to be featured less and less on AEW television.
As of late, The Butcher has become vocal on social media about wanting to see himself and The Blade get the call to make their return as a duo.
With The Blade returning to in-ring competition on the independent scene in late 2025, it feels like the right time to bring The Butcher and The Blade back to AEW programming with a big return at Dynasty 2026.

6. Samoa Joe

Shortly after losing the AEW World Title, Samoa Joe found himself on the sidelines due to an injury suffered while training.
Joe has become easily one of the biggest top stars on the AEW roster over his time with the company since signing in 2022.
Joe is a two-time AEW World Champion, three-time TNT Champion and a former AEW World Trios Champion.
With his legendary career and legacy in the business, Joe could be a massive return to the roster alongside The Opps if he were to come back in time for the AEW Dynasty 2026 event.
5. Buddy Matthews

Back at AEW Grand Slam: Australia 2025, Buddy Matthews suffered a serious ankle injury that has had him sidelined for over a year.
Matthews later revealed that his ankle had become completely ruptured, meaning he would be out of action a lot longer than many fans expected.
Recently, the likes of Swerve Strickland and others have mentioned Matthews as someone they would like to see make a comeback to All Elite Wrestling.
With more than a year away, Matthews should be a welcomed addition to the AEW roster if he can make his way back for the Dynasty 2026 event in Vancouver.
4. The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin & MVP)

In November 2025, MVP revealed that his Hurt Syndicate stablemate Bobby Lashley suffered a shoulder injury.
Since then, The Hurt Syndicate have not been appearing regularly on AEW television over the past few months.
During an appearance at the Monopoly Events For The Love of Wrestling convention, Lashley revealed that he’s fully healed and ready to make his return to AEW TV.
Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP could make their return at AEW Dynasty 2026 and thrust them into contention to challenge Mistico and JetSpeed for the AEW World Trios Titles.

3. Britt Baker

Since November 2024, Dr Britt Baker DMD has not been seen on AEW television in any capacity.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been recognized as one of the biggest homegrown stars in the company’s history.
After a lengthy hiatus and fans asking about her whereabouts, both Baker and Tony Khan have had to answer questions in regards to when she could make her return.
The AEW Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view feels like the perfect time to answer those lingering questions by having Baker come back into the fold where she could add a great deal of star power to the current women’s scene in the company.
2. Jay White

Ahead of AEW Dynasty 2025, Jay White revealed that he had suffered a broken hand that would put him on the shelf for a while.
During his recovery from that injury, White underwent surgery to rehabilitate a lingering shoulder injury as well.
After nearly a year away, ‘Switchblade’ has become one of the stars fans ask about the most for a return to AEW television.
Considering his presence as a top star since signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2023, White could drastically turn the entire landscape of the company on its head with a return at the AEW Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view.
1. Mercedes Mone

On the December 31 New Year’s Smash edition of AEW Dynamite, Willow Nightingale defeated Mercedes Mone to win the TBS Championship, ending her 584-day reign with the gold.
After being embarrassed by Willow, Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander the following week, Mone announced that she intended to take some time away from AEW and promised to take more than just titles when she was back.
Following her recent losses all over the world where she has dropped a large amount of her championship collection, it feels like the right time for ‘The CEO’ to make her grand return to AEW.
With her next appearances announced for Canada, fans could see Mone immediately make an impact back in All Elite Wrestling with a return at the AEW Dynasty 2026 event from Vancouver on April 12.
