With CM Punk continuing to battle against Seth Rollins and The Vision faction on WWE Raw, it could be that he needs to accumulate an ally.

From partners that he has worked with in the past to some that haven’t arrived in WWE just yet – there are some great choices in tag team partners for CM Punk.

Here are seven potential new tag team partners in WWE for CM Punk.

7. LA Knight

A potential tag team partner for CM Punk could be someone who he has already teamed with at least some matches – LA Knight.

Teaming together at times in live events, it could be that a super alliance of the Second City Saint CM Punk and the Megastar LA Knight is exactly the kavorka needed on WWE Raw.

With both of the pair seemingly not huge fans of Seth Rollins or the Bloodline, the duo could certainly bond over their shared enemies.

Already joining forces back in August on WWE Raw to take on The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, perhaps this combination will come around again soon.

6. Penta

One potential babyface on WWE Raw that CM Punk could look to as an ally may be fellow former AEW star, Penta.

Although it might make sense to reunite Rey Fenix and Penta to resume their long time Lucha Bros tag team – Fenix remains on SmackDown.

However, that doesn’t mean that Penta hasn’t seen any tag team action as he has competed alongside partners such as The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar), AJ Styles and even CM Punk & Sami Zayn.

Potentially bringing the two together on WWE TV for a fun run – possibly even at the Judgment Day’s WWE World Tag Team Championship could end up being a seemingly unlikely duo that just work well together.

5. AJ Styles

One possible fellow future WWE Hall of Famer that may be interested in joining forces with CM Punk could be AJ Styles.

While Styles is set to face John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel 2025, it seems after that bout there may not be an obvious next thing for his character to do on WWE Raw.

Pairing the veterans together could be a fun way to bring together some unique nostalgic storylines while also giving both something meaningful to do on TV.

Bonus points if at some point they have a massive falling out which leads into a feud since that would be the ideal way for their alliance to end.

4. Je’Von Evans

A potential new tag team partner for CM Punk could come from NXT in Je’Von Evans.

With a big opportunity at the upcoming special event featuring TNA Wrestling and NXT called Showdown, perhaps Evans will find himself on the main roster sooner rather than later.

After already wowing fans on SmackDown during his United States Open Challenge bout against Sami Zayn to his fast-paced and hard hitting action against Randy Orton on NXT, Evans has already proven himself against some of the biggest names in WWE.

Linking up with CM Punk could definitely benefit the Young OG who despite his literally young age at 21 is quite an industry veteran, having competed across the indies before signing with WWE.

3. Tony D’Angelo

WWE NXT's Tony D'Angelo

While he hasn’t been seen on TV in some time, it was recently reported that Tony D’Angelo is not out due to injury, rather he had previously requested some time off. Potentially signaling his eventual return, it could be to the main roster in lieu of back to NXT.

Being billed from Chicago, Illinois – perhaps there is enough of a Second-City connection between Punk and Tony D that could make this partnership magical.

Able to shift from the very cartoonish version of a life of crime to perhaps a more nuanced presentation, Tony D’Angelo could continue to utilize all of his street smarts but for the purposes of Punk.

Being a great counter to Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed or even Seth Rollins – D’Angelo could be an ideal partner for CM Punk.

2. Chris Jericho

After his character wrote himself off of TV back in April by declaring he wasn’t angry, just disappointed – Chris Jericho vowed he was leaving AEW.

And although at the time his absence was explained by plans for an upcoming set of Fozzy tour dates, as his time away had gone on and on – speculation began regarding whether or not Jericho was ever returning to AEW.

With his contract reportedly complete with the company at the end of 2025, there is definitely a chance he re-signs with AEW but there could also be a future that sees the return of Chris Jericho to WWE.

In the ultimate symbol of burying the hatchet but also making headlines, Jericho joining forces back in WWE with CM Punk in 2026 could be a massive surprise moment.

1. Jacob Fatu

Although Fatu recently made his return to WWE TV, he didn’t actually do anything that would go against a potential partnership with Punk.

In fact making a big return, Fatu confronted Drew McIntyre about his continued complaints and would go on to not only knock him down but to assault McIntyre with his own protective walking boot.

Likely able to bond well over their shared beef with McIntyre, the combination of Jacob Fatu and CM Punk could be one of those magical unlikely alliances.

Bringing together two massive fan favorite characters – even if just for a temporary alliance – could be a lot of fun.
