On the April 1 edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho made his return to All Elite Wrestling for the first time in a year.
After proclaiming that he was home, Jericho will appear on the April 8 AEW Dynamite to address his return and could give a glimpse into what his future is.
Considering this latest promo will take place just a few days before AEW Dynasty 2026, fans could find out who Jericho might face at the latest pay-per-view for the company.
Here are seven potential Chris Jericho AEW Dynasty 2026 opponents.
7. “Speedball” Mike Bailey

Speedball Mike Bailey signed with AEW in February 2025 after departing TNA at the end of 2024
“Speedball” Mike Bailey has been on a roll in AEW as of late regardless if it is in singles, tag team or trios action.
At AEW Revolution 2026, Bailey teamed with Kevin Knight and Mistico to defeat The Don Callis Family to become two-time AEW World Trios Champion.
In recent weeks, “Speedball” has picked up singles victories over Mark Davis and Rocky Romero, while pushing AEW World Champion MJF to the limit on the April 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
With AEW Dynasty 2026 taking place from their home country of Canada, it would be fitting to see Bailey step up to the plate to challenge the legend that is Chris Jericho on this huge event from Vancouver.
6. Bandido
Back at AEW Dynasty 2025, Bandido defeated Chris Jericho to win the Ring of Honor World Championship.
This loss led to Jericho making the decision to leave All Elite Wrestling and take his one year hiatus from the promotion.
Since that win, Bandido has been able to hold the ROH World Title and has become one of the greatest champions in the history of Ring of Honor.
One year later, it feels appropriate if Jericho returned for his rematch against Bandido for the gold at this year’s AEW Dynasty 2026.
5. Brody King

While Bandido has been riding momentum for over a year now, his tag team partner Brody King has been enjoying his own hot streak.
In 2026, King has had an impressive win-loss record, which has included a big victory over the reigning AEW World Champion MJF.
Now that Chris Jericho is back in All Elite Wrestling, it would make sense if new opponents step up to face him, including Brody King.
With everything he has accomplished in the past few months, Brody facing off with Jericho would make for an intriguing battle at the AEW Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view.
4. Big Bill
After his loss to Bandido at AEW Dynasty 2025, Chris Jericho confronted his Learning Tree faction and asked them why they didn’t help him hold onto the ROH World Championship.
This led to Big Bill standing up to Jericho and telling him that he does not get to talk to him like that, which led to the legendary star choosing to walk away and take his hiatus.
After a year away from All Elite Wrestling, it would make sense if Bill came out to confront his former mentor.
Bill squaring off with Jericho at AEW Dynasty 2026 would be interesting and likely position “Le Champion” as the babyface against the big man in his home country of Canada.
3. Kazuchika Okada

Kazuchika Okada has held at least one championship in AEW consistently since March 20, 2024
Someone who has been a rival for Chris Jericho in the past before their days working with All Elite Wrestling is Kazuchika Okada.
Back at NJPW Dominion 2019, Okada defeated Jericho to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
Since signing with AEW, “The Rainmaker” has been a constant champion with a 647-day reign as Continental Champion and now holding the International Title.
Considering his status as a current titleholder, Jericho could see Okada as someone worthy of his time and try to claim some gold in his in-ring return at AEW Dynasty 2026.
2. “Hangman” Adam Page
At AEW Revolution 2026, MJF defeated “Hangman” Adam Page in a Texas Death Match to retain the AEW World Championship.
With this loss, Page can no longer challenge for the AEW World Title as long as he lives, which has left some questions regarding the former two-time champion’s future in the company.
“Hangman” has been out of action since the pay-per-view and could make his return in time for AEW Dynasty 2026.
With his past loss back at AEW All Out 2019 that really led to his first fall in the company, “Hangman” could start his next path to redemption by righting the first wrong that has taken place in All Elite Wrestling against Chris Jericho at Dynasty 2026.
1. Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland won his first AEW World Championship at the inaugural Dynasty PPV in 2024 and challenged Jon Moxley for the title again at the same event one year later.
While he has been in All Elite Wrestling since the promotion started, there are still a number of stars on the roster that have never faced Chris Jericho in singles competition.
Looking at the AEW roster, Swerve Strickland might be the biggest star who has never faced in the company.
Following his loss to Kenny Omega on the March 25 episode of AEW Dynamite, Strickland could start his ascent back to a shot at the AEW World Title by challenging Chris Jericho.
In this huge battle between former AEW World Champions, Jericho and Swerve would make for a compelling story to tell in a showdown at AEW Dynasty 2026 on April 12.
