With Brock Lesnar already set to face John Cena at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 on ESPN, fans are already wondering who he will face next.
From established stars that could carry a feud in The Beast’s absence to up-and-coming stars that could make history by stepping up to Brock Lesnar – there are some intriguing options in WWE.
Here are eight potential next opponents for Brock Lesnar after WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025.
8. GUNTHER

In what could end up being a battle of the behemoths – perhaps it isn’t going to be John Cena that tangles with GUNTHER upon the Ring General’s return.
After losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk at SummerSlam 2025, GUNTHER has yet to return to WWE action.
Instead on the next night’s WWE Raw, noted that he was out “indefinitely” related to having suffered a “septal hematoma and orbital blowout fracture” at SummerSlam.
However when he does make a return, it would be amazing to see him take on Brock Lesnar.

7. Bron Breakker

One seemingly obvious choice to face off against Brock Lesnar is Bron Breakker.
While Breakker is currently doing more team work with fellow Vision member Bronson Reed than he is dominating in singles action – a feud with Lesnar could change everything.
Potentially making more sense to happen after Breakker turns babyface, it could be the crucible of facing Lesnar coupled with a lack of support from Rollins that instead divides the Vision.
A feud between Lesnar and any member of The Vision becomes immediately more compelling with the presence of Paul Heyman.

6. CM Punk

Speaking of a battle betwixt two Paul Heyman guys – there could be an iconic showdown coming between CM Punk and Brock Lesnar.
Able to tell an incredibly emotional story without too many interactions, Punk could largely carry the TV presence of the rivalry whereas similarly with Cena – Lesnar can show up for the match.
Giving an opportunity to have some wildly compelling dynamics play out on-screen between Punk and Heyman in Lesnar’s absence, this feud could end up legendary.
While it wouldn’t be necessary to have multiple showdowns, this one and done feud could still produce remarkable results.

5. Oba Femi

Another potential challenger for Brock Lesnar is current NXT Champion Oba Femi
Since The Ruler has been reigning over NXT for over 250 days, he has yet to find a challenger that can capture his title.
However, Femi is currently set to face off against Ricky Saints at NXT No Mercy for the championship – which could be his swan song for NXT as Femi could find himself called up to the main roster.
In a moment that could easily become historic, having Oba Femi make his main roster debut by stepping up to challenge Brock Lesnar would memorable.

4. Drew McIntyre

While Drew McIntyre currently has his hands full for Wrestlepalooza 2025, that doesn’t mean that he is free from the threat of Brock Lesnar.
Currently feuding with Cody Rhodes over the WWE Championship, perhaps McIntyre will pick up the title at Wrestlepalooza 2025 and become a target for Brock.
However, given the magnitude of both McIntyre and Lesnar – there wouldn’t necessarily need to be the title on the line to make this feud happen.
Similarly to his work when CM Punk was out of action due to injury mid-feud with McIntyre, Drew could keep the storyline going in Lesnar’s presumed absence as he doesn’t typically appear often.

3. Rusev

In what could be an iconic showdown of big men, Brock Lesnar could kick off of a feud with Rusev.
Since returning to WWE after a spell in AEW, Rusev impressed fans during his gritty and violent Donnybrook match against Sheamus at Clash in Paris 2025, re-establishing himself as a frightening force.
While Rusev seems to be targeting Dirty Dominik Mysterio at the minute over the Intercontinental Championship – he could still be a intriguing next opponent for Brock Lesnar.
With Rusev seemingly on the road to becoming a babyface – given that he is a fan favorite that crowds love to cheer for – perhaps his first babyface battle will end up being against Brock Lesnar.

2. Randy Orton

One potential future showdown for Brock Lesnar could be one that is nearly a decade in the making – a showdown between Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar.
Long time fans may remember the controversial match finish between Lesnar and Orton in 2016 by which Lesnar busted Orton open by force – a detail that was later revealed to be planned in advance but that seemed so violent at the time, it created chaos backstage.
With Chris Jericho going to confront Lesnar after the incident, there was almost an altercation between the pair before things got cleared up.
The potential that the pair could revisit the infamous interaction now that Randy Orton is an even more popular babyface could be iconic. And the storyline could become an even more compelling if speculation proves true that Chris Jericho could be returning to WWE in 2026.

1. Omos

You can’t have a discussion regarding the biggest and baddest men in WWE without including Omos.
Billed at 7’3″, Omos is one of the few WWE stars that could stand literally tall over Brock Lesnar who is noted as a whopping full foot shorter.
While Omos has been absent from WWE TV for quite some time, he recently made an on-screen return in AAA.
Although seemingly unlikely, it could be iconic to see Brock Lesnar feature as an attraction appearance in AAA to take on Omos in what would be a massive bout for the promotion.
