AEW Stars To Join New Faction With FTR

AEW's FTR and Stokely

FTR are currently enjoying their third reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions, but there are several different duos chasing after their gold.

From The Young Bucks to The Rascalz, these pairings have given Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler a hard time as of late.

With so many tag teams gunning for them, FTR would be wise to assemble a faction around them with some stars from the AEW roster.

Here are seven AEW stars to potentially join a new faction with FTR.

7. Wardlow

If FTR were to create a faction, it would be the second time that they would be part of a group during their run in All Elite Wrestling.

Back in 2021, FTR joined forces with MJF to form The Pinnacle. Besides those three champions, the stable also consisted of Shawn Spears and Wardlow.

The time in this faction led to FTR developing a friendship with Wardlow that stayed intact for some time.

While the former three-time TNT Champion is sidelined with injury right now, FTR could open the door for Wardlow’s return through this new potential stable.

6. Big Bill

During their time in WWE, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler had several rivals that are now part of the AEW roster.

One of their earliest rivals during their stint in WWE had to have been Big Bill, who teamed with Enzo Amore in NXT against the former Revival.

Back in 2023, Bill then teamed with Ricky Starks to defeat FTR to become AEW World Tag Team Champions.

With all their history against one another, it would be smart of FTR and Stokely to recruit Bill into their ranks for this new faction.

5. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake)

Another pair of rivals that FTR are no strangers to on the AEW roster are The Grizzled Young Veterans.

The partnership between James Drake and Zack Gibson have traveled all over the world in WWE and on the U.K. independent scene before heading to All Elite Wrestling with their debut in 2024.

Upon arriving in AEW, GYV attacked FTR and went on to face them as their first rivals in the company.

After proving themselves to Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, Grizzled Young Veterans could have done enough to earn a more prominent spot on AEW TV alongside FTR in a new group.

4. MegaBad (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford)

In 2025, FTR aligned with Megan Bayne in their feud with JetSpeed and Willow Nightingale.

Picking up a victory in six-person tag team action, FTR and Bayne proved their unity and could call back to that in 2026.

Meanwhile, Bayne has reunited with Penelope Ford to reform MegaBad after her tag team partner was sidelined with injury.

Bringing two strong pairings together, it would make a lot of sense if FTR recruited MegaBad and helped them capture some tag team gold of their own in the AEW women’s division.

3. Roderick Strong

On the February 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, Roderick Strong walked out on Orange Cassidy during their tag team match against Daniel Garcia and Clark Connors.

This may signal a heel turn is coming for Strong, who has long showcased his disdain for The Conglomeration.

Wanting to separate himself from both The Conglomeration and Paragon, Strong might be able to do so by joining forces with a pair of former rivals.

During his run with Kyle O’Reilly in the AEW tag team division, FTR has long been their fiercest rivals, so it would make sense if there were some mutual respect that could lead to joining forces in this potential stable.

2. Tommaso Ciampa

On the January 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, Tommaso Ciampa made his debut in the company and immediately answered the open challenge for the TNT Championship of Mark Briscoe.

After defeating Briscoe for the gold, Ciampa’s reign only lasted 11 days with Kyle Fletcher dethroning him for the TNT Title on the February 11 Dynamite.

During their time in WWE, FTR and DIY put on some of the greatest tag team matches in NXT history that are still talked about to this day.

Now that “The Psycho Killer” is in AEW, it would make sense if former rivals become stablemates and FTR bring Ciampa into the fold for their new faction.

1. The Demand (Ricochet & Gates of Agony)

On the February 21 edition of AEW Collision, The Rascalz defeated FTR to win an AEW World Tag Team Championships Eliminator Match thanks to a distraction from The Young Bucks.

Post match, The Demand attacked The Rascalz and The Young Bucks before FTR attacked The Bucks’ family, ending with a spiked piledriver on Matt and Nick Jackson’s younger brother.

This will lead to FTR teaming with The Demand to face The Young Bucks and The Rascalz in a Mile High Madness Anything Goes Match on the February 25 episode of AEW Dynamite.

With a win on Dynamite, FTR and The Demand might join forces full-time in a new faction that could run roughshod and capture even more gold in All Elite Wrestling.
