AEW Stars To Be Removed From Factions

Share

AEW's Don Callis and Andrade El Idolo

AEW has long been known for their array of different factions that fill the company’s extensive roster.

From The Elite and Inner Circle to The Death Riders and The Hurt Syndicate, these groups have played important roles in AEW as the years have gone by.

Looking at the current landscape of AEW, there are a variety of talents who could be close to leaving or being removed from their factions in the weeks to come.

Here are seven AEW stars to be potentially removed from factions.

7. Andrade El Idolo

To start 2026, Andrade El Idolo made his return to All Elite Wrestling and immediately joined The Don Callis Family.

Despite his association with Callis, El Idolo has been one of the more popular stars on the AEW roster today.

Andrade has also been in pursuit of a shot at the AEW World Title, which has become a point of contention with Callis who is now working with TNT Champion Kevin Knight.

With “The Jet” being the priority, it feels like Andrade will eventually choose to leave or become excommunicated from The Don Callis Family sooner rather than later.

6. Billie Starkz

For three years now, Billie Starkz has found herself under the learning tree of Athena in MIT.

Following the guidance of Athena, Starkz was able to become the inaugural ROH Women’s TV Champion and has come close to winning the ROH Women’s World Championship on several occasions.

At ROH Supercard of Honor 2026, Athena defeated Starkz, Maya World, Zayda Steel, Trish Adora and Yuka Sakazaki in Survival of the Fittest to retain the Ring of Honor Women’s World Championship.

After this most recent loss, Starkz may find herself on the outside looking in on MIT after coming close to costing Athena the gold at the last pay-per-view.

5. Lee Moriarty

Shane Taylor Promotions have become one of the most featured acts on AEW television as of late.

During their feud with The Death Riders, STP has used the numbers advantage and other tactics to get the better of Jon Moxley and company.

Over the past few months, Moriarty has been growing distant from Shane Taylor Promotions as he has tried to fight on his own as ROH Pure Champion, while his stablemates have used dirty antics to get wins.

With the spotlight finally on STP, it might be the right opportunity to bring this story with Moriarty into the forefront and lead to his departure from the stable.

4. The Beast Mortos

In 2025, The Beast Mortos and Sammy Guevara joined forces with RUSH and Dralistico to reform La Faccion Ingobernables.

While they have mostly been featured in Ring of Honor, LFI has also gotten some time to shine on AEW programming as well.

Despite currently being away from AEW TV due to a visa issue, Mortos feels like the member most likely to succeed without the rest of the faction.

With his underrated in-ring ability and intensity, Mortos could be removed from LFI and go on to feud with his former stablemates.

3. PAC

There is no other faction in All Elite Wrestling who have a tighter bond with one another quite like the Death Riders.

Traveling and training together, the Death Riders have become the strongest and most dominant faction in AEW right now.

However, there are several members who might be able to gain more from their careers if they left the stable.

PAC is the one who jumps out the most due to the fact that he has long been a prominent singles star in AEW and could be that yet again even on his own.

2. Gabe Kidd

Gabe Kidd is an interesting case when it comes to faction talk within All Elite Wrestling.

While he is a member of The Dogs, Kidd has never shied away from the fact that he is still associated with The Death Riders.

Feeling like he owes Jon Moxley a lot, Kidd even showed up in New Japan Pro Wrestling, representing The Death Riders to send a message to new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Shota Umino.

With his allegiance in question to both of his groups, Kidd needs to choose between The Dogs and Death Riders once and for all.

1. Thekla

Not long after her arrival in All Elite Wrestling, Thekla aligned herself with Sisters of Sin to form the Triangle of Madness.

Alongside Julia Hart and Skye Blue, Thekla has reached the top of the women’s scene by capturing the AEW Women’s World Championship.

With her great character work and personality, it makes sense if Thekla decides that she needs to stand on her own sooner rather than later.

Thekla breaking away from the Sisters of Sin could be just what she needs to make the next step in her progression and become a bigger star for the AEW women’s division.
