Ahead of the March 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, Timeless Toni Storm was found laid out backstage in a pool of her own blood and pulled from her scheduled No Holds Barred match against Marina Shafir.
It was later revealed that Storm was going to be out of action “for a long time” due to an undisclosed injury.
With the former four-time AEW Women’s World Champion now out of action, the company has to look to their women’s division to find someone to replace the void left behind by Storm.
Here are eight potential AEW replacements for Toni Storm.
8. Mina Shirakawa
After the attack on Timeless Toni Storm ahead of the March 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, it was Mina Shirakawa who decided to step in to face Marina Shafir in a No Holds Barred Match.
Shirakawa went on to pick up a victory over Shafir in what had to be one of the biggest wins of her career so far.
Over the past year, Shirakawa has been the closest friend and tag team partner of Storm.
With Storm on the shelf for a long time, Shirakawa feels like the most logical individual to fill in for the loss of the former four-time AEW Women’s World Champion.
7. Jamie Hayter
During her feud with The Outcasts in 2023, Jamie Hayter suffered an injury that kept him sidelined from action for over a year.
After making her return to All Elite Wrestling in 2024, it took Hayter quite a bit of time to get back in the mix for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
In the past few months, Hayter has formed a partnership with Alex Windsor named The Brawling Birds.
However, Timeless Toni Storm being sidelined could open the door for Hayter to step up to a more prominent spot in the AEW women’s division.

6. Deonna Purrazzo
Signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2024, Deonna Purrazzo immediately came into a featured role in the company and started a feud with Timeless Toni Storm over the AEW Women’s World Championship.
“The Virtuosa” is someone who has been widely regarded as one of the best in-ring technicians in women’s wrestling for years.
Now holding the ROH Women’s Pure Championship, Purrazzo has not been highlighted on AEW television over the past year.
With Timeless Toni Storm now out of action for some time, Purrazzo could step in to take Storm’s place in the AEW women’s scene.
5. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. was the first female star to sign a contract with All Elite Wrestling when the company began in 2019.
It did not take Baker a lot of time before she established herself as one of the most prominent stars in the promotion and went on to become the AEW Women’s World Champion in 2021.
However, a lot has changed over the past few years and Baker has not been featured on the company’s programming since November 2024.
After over one year away, it might be the right time to reinsert Baker into the fold where she has the star power and presence to fill the void left behind by Timeless Toni Storm.

4. Megan Bayne
Ever since signing with AEW in January 2025, Megan Bayne has made her mark as one of the most dominant and eye-catching talents on the roster today.
“The Megasus” has been a force to be reckoned with and only been pinned in singles competition once.
Besides her success as a solo star, Bayne has recently formed a duo with Lena Kross named Divine Dominion, which led to the pair defeating The Babes of Wrath to win the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships at AEW Revolution 2026.
Wanting to give her a more significant role as a singles star, Bayne could become the ideal replacement for Timeless Toni Storm in the AEW women’s division.
3. Kris Statlander
Back at AEW All Out 2025, Kris Statlander defeated Timeless Toni Storm, Thekla and Jamie Hayter to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Over the next five months, Statlander successfully defended the title over Storm, Hayter, Thekla and Mercedes Mone.
“The Cosmic Killer” has cemented herself as one of the spotlighted female stars on the AEW roster today.
While she has lost the AEW Women’s World Championship, Statlander would be more than fitting to replace Timeless Toni Storm following her undisclosed injury.

2. Thekla
On the February 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, Thekla defeated Kris Statlander in a Strap Match to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.
After only debuting in May 2025, Thekla quickly proved herself as one of the more entertaining personalities in the AEW women’s division.
“The Toxic Spider” now stands at the mountaintop as the champion and should be featured more on AEW programming moving forward.
With Timeless Toni Storm on the sidelines, this should open up even more TV time for Thekla to shine in an even more major way.
1. Willow Nightingale
While the likes of Timeless Toni Storm and Mercedes Mone are the two of the biggest female stars on the AEW roster today, Willow Nightingale might be just as popular as both ladies.
In December 2025, Nightingale made history by becoming one half of the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions and went on to become the first woman to hold two titles in the company, winning the TBS Title from Mone.
Despite losing the tag titles with Harley Cameron to Divine Dominion at AEW Revolution 2026, this shouldn’t stop Willow from being a featured act on the company’s television moving forward.
Considering Storm is now on the shelf, Nightingale should be thrusted to the forefront as one of the top stars in the AEW women’s division.
