With AEW Forbidden Door 2025 on the horizon, there could be some last-minute changes made to the big event in London.
From potential stipulations to surprise returns, there could be some intriguing late alterations afoot for the pay-per-view.
Here are five potential last-minute changes to AEW Forbidden Door 2025.
5. Eddie Kingston Returns
After being taken out of action due to a complex injury in May 2024 during a match against Gabe Kidd in NJPW, Eddie Kingston has yet to return to action.
Perhaps not announced in advance of the show, Eddie Kingston instead could make a surprise return at AEW Forbidden Door 2025 in London.
One potential point could be during the ‘Lights Out’ steel cage match set for the event which will feature 10 big names, but also an intriguing choice for Kingston.
With Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Will Ospreay set to team together to face Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, The Young Bucks and Gabe Kidd – Kingston’s would have a chance to reveal his true allegiance.

4. Stipulation Added To Women’s World Championship Match
With the battle lines drawn for the upcoming bout between Timeless Toni Storm and Athena for the AEW Women’s World Championship, there could be one detail still yet to be added.
Next week in Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, Athena is set to defend the ROH Women’s World Championship against Mina Shirakawa.
Since Shirakawa, Athena and Billie Starkz already tangled after Athena answered an open challenge at RevPro: Global Wars UK, perhaps the drama is not yet over.
If a no disqualification stipulation is added, it could lean into the idea of some shenanigans in the match finish, or, on the other hand, everyone could be banned from ringside as to prevent any hijinks.

3. Tag Team Match Becomes Trios
With Nick Wayne reportedly having a legitimately broken foot, he was replaced by a returning Killswitch, who will now team with Kip Sabian against the reunited Adam Copeland and Christian Cage.
A detail of Killswitch’s return video was that there appeared to be someone bringing him back to life, which many speculated could be Jack Perry/Jungle Boy.
If Perry returns to AEW at Forbidden Door tonight and reveals he has rekindled his partnership with Killswitch, there is definitely a third that Copeland and Cage could call upon to join their team.
After making a fun surprise appearance at AEW Double or Nothing 2024, Gangrel could be an enjoyable addition to the match to fully reunite The Brood.

2. MJF Tricks Hangman Adam Page
In a backstage segment on Dynamite, MJF threatened to set Mark Briscoe on fire if Hangman Adam Page didn’t agree to three stipulations on their upcoming match.
With MJF being specific about the addition that the title can change hands on a disqualification and it can change hands on a count-out, it would certainly seem as though the clever MJF has something specific up his sleeve for Hangman.
While there could be hidden weapons to tempt Page or even a trap to potentially get him counted out, there is a third stipulation that MJF negotiated.
He doesn’t have to cash-in his AEW World Title match contract for the bout against Page – meaning that even if MJF loses, he could immediately “cash-in” on Page and still leave London as the champ.

1. AEW Trios Title Match Added
While Gabe Kidd has been rolling with The Death Riders in AEW, he comes from his own villainous stable in NJPW, the Bullet Club War Dogs.
With the AEW Trios Championship held by The Opps (Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs) who have been tangling in the brawls of late, perhaps an NJPW trio could arrive to challenge them.
Kidd’s fellow War Dogs Drilla Moloney, Clark Connors and Robbie X could challenge The Opps for the AEW Trios Championship.
With some bouts still potentially left to be announced for the event, this match could definitely end up making it onto the Zero Hour pre-show.
