At AEW Worlds End 2025, Jon Moxley defeated Kyle Fletcher and then Kazuchika Okada to win the 2025 Continental Classic tournament and become the new AEW Continental Champion.

Getting the win with the crowd rallying behind him, the former four-time AEW World Champion cut an emotional promo, dedicating the victory to the other participants in the C2, his Death Riders teammates and the fans.

This might indicate that the Death Riders will eventually turn on Moxley down the road after feeling like he is going against their original mission statement.

Here are eight potential AEW Death Riders replacements for Jon Moxley.

8. Gabe Kidd

In 2025, Gabe Kidd came over from New Japan Pro Wrestling to become a consistent part of the AEW roster.

Joining forces with Jon Moxley, Kidd has become a mercenary for the Death Riders throughout the past year.

“The Madman” recently suffered a loss to Darby Allin in a bloody battle at the AEW Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view.

Kidd betraying Moxley and becoming his replacement for the Death Riders would be an intriguing direction to take for the main faction in All Elite Wrestling today.

7. Lee Moriarty

The Death Riders were created from the ashes of Jon Moxley’s previous stable, the Blackpool Combat Club.

When the BCC were first created, there were several different names who were considered potential candidates to join the group.

Among the names who fans thought would join the faction is current ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty.

While he is currently a member of Shane Taylor Promotions, recent dissension could see Moriarty turn on his leader and join forces with the Death Riders to replace a freshly-turned Jon Moxley.

6. Roderick Strong

Joining forces with The Conglomeration, Roderick Strong has become one of the more consistent enemies of the Death Riders over the past few months.

After getting a win in the Men’s Blood & Guts, Strong has continued his battle against the Death Riders and most recently defeated Claudio Castagnoli in the Continental Classic to eliminate him from contention.

Strong has one of the more unique relationships with the Death Riders considering his wife Marina Shafir is part of the group.

Shafir convincing Roderick Strong to join the Death Riders could be the perfect way to replace Jon Moxley if he chooses to leave behind the stable he created.

5. Kyle O’Reilly

One of the biggest rivals of the Death Riders over the past few months has been Kyle O’Reilly.

After being the key figure who got the Conglomeration a victory in the Men’s Blood & Guts, O’Reilly made Jon Moxley tap out for a second time in a No Holds Barred Match at AEW Full Gear 2025.

Post match, Moxley attacked O’Reilly, causing him to be sidelined with injury and missing the AEW Continental Classic tournament.

O’Reilly returning and joining the Death Riders would make for an interesting direction that not many fans would see coming.

After Penelope Ford was sidelined with injury, Marina Shafir replaced her to join forces with Megan Bayne to form a tag team for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament.

Becoming known as The MegaProblems, Bayne and Shafir have established themselves as a dominant force in the tag team scene.

Despite Marina Shafir’s affiliation with the Death Riders, Bayne has remained neutral and not officially joined the faction.

Shafir becoming more of a leader for the Death Riders could see her making the decision to betray Moxley and bringing Megan Bayne into the stable to give it a completely new look.

Another potential new member of the Death Riders could be former WWE star Shayna Baszler.

Marina Shafir could use her history with Baszler from the Four Horsewomen to bring the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion into the faction.

Since being released from WWE, Baszler has only appeared in limited appearances on the independent scene and could be waiting for a big money offer from a major promotion.

AEW signing Baszler could see “The Queen of Spades” join The Death Riders in place of the group’s former leader Jon Moxley after his recent babyface turn.

2. Bryan Danielson

When The Death Riders were created, the faction was formed after the Blackpool Combat Club turned on Bryan Danielson back at AEW All Out 2024.

This led to Jon Moxley defeating Danielson to end his full-time in-ring career by taking the AEW World Title at AEW WrestleDream.

“The American Dragon” has since transitioned to a role as color commentator on AEW Dynamite alongside Excalibur and Tony Schiavone.

However, Danielson could signal a massive change for the Death Riders where they bring him in for revenge against Moxley by removing him from the faction completely and taking his place.

1. Darby Allin

During the build to AEW WrestleDream 2025, Darby Allin revealed to Jon Moxley that he has always thought about joining the Death Riders after over a year of feuding with the faction.

Allin stated that Moxley’s actions and betrayal towards Bryan Danielson is the thing that has prevented him from joining the mission statement of The Death Riders.

This led to Darby defeating Moxley for the first time in an I Quit Match at WrestleDream, but his rivalry with the stable has continued.

To finally close the book on this war, Darby Allin could become the perfect replacement for Moxley and change the entire direction of the Death Riders moving forward.
