A number of championship matches have now been confirmed for AEW Grand Slam France, which will emanate from the Adidas Arena in Paris on October 6.

With AEW World Champion Will Ospreay issuing a challenge to Kazuchika Okada during the All Out post-show media scrum, three more title bouts have since been announced for the show.

With WrestleDream right around the corner, title changes during WWE’s visit to France could add twists and turns as the company prepares for the end of its calendar year.

Amid speculation about which championships will change hands at the international show, there have been some storyline teases have potentially revealed what’s next for the to-be-defended titles.

Here are the four championship titles which could potentially change hands at AEW Grand Slam France.

AEW Women’s World Championship

Mercedes Mone defeated Willow Nightingale to become AEW Women’s World Champion at All In London in August, ending Nightingale’s 35 day reign with the gold, while Thekla watched on.

While Thekla is set to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Title at WrestleDream, The CEO has one more obstacle standing between her and this title defense in Orlando.

Mone will defend her gold at Grand Slam France against Queen Aminata, who she previously defended the TBS Title against in October 2024 on Dynamite.

With many predicting that Mone will retain ahead of WrestleDream, we could witness a surprise or two ahead of the October 17 pay-per-view.

ROH World Championship

Kofi made his return to singles action on the October 3 Collision episode, with the former WWE Champion defeating Lee Moriarty.

Following the match, Kofi stated that he’s not satisfied with just being an AEW Trios Champion, and issued a challenge to ROH World Champion Bandido.

With Bandido vs Kofi confirmed for October 6, the New Level member will have the chance to become a double champion, following him, Austin Creed and Swerve Strickland taking home the trios title at All In London.

This will be Kofi’s first singles title match since the March 30 WWE Raw episode, when he challenged for Penta’s Intercontinental Championship.

TNT Championship

Darby Allin won the TNT Championship at AEW All In London, defeating Kevin Knight to leave London with the gold.

Following recent title defenses against Mark Davis and Myron Reed, Allin now has a huge challenge ahead of him at Grand Slam France.

Allin will defend the TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher, who himself only recently lost the International Championship at All In London.

With Will Ospreay previously teasing facing Darby Allin in a future AEW World Title match, losing the TNT Championship would free Allin up for this main event feud, although with the Continental and International title holders also challenging for the world title, this tease does not guarantee a title loss.

AEW World Championship

After defeating Jon Moxley at AEW All Out, Will Ospreay issued a challenge to Kazuchika Okada during the post-show media scrum.

Ospreay noted that he wants to face stars who have previously defeated him throughout his title reign, with Okada being first in line.

Being Ospreay’s former mentor, Kazuchika Okada defeated the Aerial Assassin in majority of their previous in-ring encounters, with the duo most recently facing off in the finals of the 2024 Continental Classic tournament.

If The Rainmaker is able to replicate the result of that match, the Continental Champion will leave Paris as a double titleholder.
