AEW All In Texas 2025 is set to feature a stacked card of championship bouts and grudge matches, but not all apparent plans have come to fruition.
While some of these potential bouts were not formally announced, it seemed at one point they could have had a place on the card on July 12.
Here are five AEW All In 2025 matches that ended up being canceled.
5. Jamie Hayter Vs. Thekla
Thekla made her debut in AEW back in May, attacking Jamie Hayter and thereby writing the former AEW Women’s World Champion off of TV.
Hayter has since been reported to be dealing with an undisclosed injury.
However, while many fans assumed this attack would lead to a clash between the two, potentially even at All In Texas, Hayter has yet to make her return to AEW.
With Hayter’s eventual showdown with “The Toxic Spider” seemingly on pause, it seems like Thekla may instead make her AEW All In debut in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match.

4. Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley
After Jon Moxley and the Death Riders wrote Darby Allin off of AEW TV back in December 2024, fans were aware that Allin was taking time off from AEW to climb Mount Everest.
However as Moxley’s reign persisted and he was able to best the likes of Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, Cope and Christian Cage – it almost seemed as though perhaps Moxley would remain champion until the return of Darby.
While Allin has yet to return to AEW – he has returned from his successful climb, with Allin posting videos of himself resuming Darby activities – like stunt driving – so it seems to be a matter of time before his return.
But in the end it won’t be to formally face Mox at All In as many thought it might be.

3. Athena Vs. Thunder Rosa – ROH Women’s World Champion
Athena is the longest reigning champion in ROH history, having held the ROH Women’s World Championship for over 900 days.
She had been vocal about her hope to be on the card for AEW All In Texas since it is being held in her home state – however no singles bout would end up being confirmed.
While Athena vs. Rosa would instead be booked for ROH Supercard of Honor, the night before All In Texas, there was some speculation that a singles bout between the pair could occur at Globe Life Field.
With the Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match on the card for AEW’s big event, perhaps both Rosa and Athena could still square off in their home state.

2. MJF vs. Bobby Lashley
When MJF was trying to gain the favor of Bobby Lashley in order to join the Hurt Syndicate, it certainly seemed as though the pair could be heading for a future showdown.
Instead however, Lashley would end up granting MJF entry into the faction and so far, so good.
While there still may be a dissolution of the partnership in the future – for now, MJF remains aligned with the AEW Tag Team Champions Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
MJF is set to participate in the men’s Casino Gauntlet match to determine who will get a future title shot at the AEW World Championship which will see him enter first with Mark Briscoe.

1. Cope & Christian Cage vs. FTR
Cope was written off of AEW TV after a vicious attack at the hands of FTR at AEW Dynasty.
However, he has yet to return to AEW TV with subsequent reports that a potentially exciting bout was pitched for AEW All In Texas.
While it could have been FTR taking on the iconic duo of Cope and Christian Cage, instead Cage and Nick Wayne will have a crack at the AEW Tag Team Championship at the event.
Taking on tag team champs the Hurt Syndicate, it will be a three-way match also featuring JetSpeed, the team of Kevin Knight and Speedball Mike Bailey. So it seems that the Edge & Christian reunion will have to wait for now.
