After both ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight elected to sign with AEW despite rumors of WWE interest, more free agents could be next.
From former WWE stars to TNA Wrestling champions, there are a host of hot free agents that could potentially sign with Tony Khan’s promotion.
Here are seven new AEW signings that could debut soon.
7. Von Wagner

After being spotted in a scene as an extra, eagle-eyed NXT fans noticed that the former Von Wagner – now using his real name Cal Bloom – had appeared on AEW.
Bloom was easy to spot as a security guard on Dynamite, and since then, he has made his in-ring debut for Ring of Honor.
Bloom teamed with another free agent Deonn Rusman in a losing effort against the Gates of Agony.
While the two appearances certainly don’t mean he will be a certain signing for AEW, it would be great to see more from him since his release from WWE.

6. Indi Hartwell

After being released from WWE, Indi Hartwell has debuted brand new theme music by Downstait and been spotted training with several AEW stars.
Seemingly on a mission to continue her journey in wrestling after her WWE departure, Hartwell would be a great addition to the AEW locker room.
After previously competing against Mercedes Mone for House of Glory this month, perhaps Hartwell could be headed to AEW.
Given that there is still a lot of career left to be had for Hartwell, hopefully she finds a place to shine soon.

5. Violence Is Forever

Dominic Garrini and Kevin Ku make up the tag team Violence is Forever.
The reigning GCW Tag Team Champions have not only an impressive resume that boasts promotions like DPW and Black Label Pro Wrestling, but they can now reportedly add another company to their list.
According to a report, the pair were backstage at a recent edition of AEW Dynamite to do extra work for the show.
Debuting back in 2018, Violence is Forever would be an experienced and hard hitting addition to the AEW tag team division.

4. Josh Alexander

While former TNA Wrestling World Champion Josh Alexander has not confirmed that he has signed with AEW and could always re-sign with TNA or elsewhere, rumors have persisted that he is AEW bound.
It was quoted over a month ago that “sources close to Alexander” had indicated he was planning on signing with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling – however, he has yet to debut.
Given ihs impressive accolades in his career thus far, it would make sense that the Walking Weapon would be getting scouted by multiple promotions.
While it remains uncertain exactly where he will land, Josh Alexander has a lot to contribute wherever he signs.

3. KUSHIDA

KUSHIDA is not only an experienced veteran – he also remains a wildly compelling performer, no matter what promotion he is appearing in.
Competing in NJPW as a tag team with recent AEW signee Kevin Knight (known collectively as the “Intergalactic Jet Setters”), perhaps there is already a foundation laid for KUSHIDA to arrive in All Elite Wrestling.
Given the close relationship between AEW and NJPW, it would make sense that KUSHIDA may appear periodically for both promotions, similarly to Tomohiro Ishii.
There is yet another NJPW star that may very well follow in the footsteps of Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay, electing for a fresh start in AEW…

2. Gabe Kidd

Gabe Kidd is another NJPW star that would seemingly be poised to head straight for AEW in the future.
The ferocious Bullet Club War Dogs member tangled with Kenny Omega at the NJPW, CMLL & AEW show Wrestle Dynasty, launching his popularity to a new level.
With plenty of buzz surrounding him, it would make complete sense for AEW to sign Gabe Kidd when he becomes available, seemingly sometime in early 2026.
Scheduled to be stateside for Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport on April 17 in Las Vegas, the intrigue around Kidd is not likely to die down any time soon.

1. Cedric Alexander

While it has not been made official, seemingly the most ‘obvious’ signee for AEW would be veteran star Cedric Alexander.
After it was revealed that he was released from WWE, fans immediately began hoping that he would eventually reunite with his former faction.
Alexander was a member of the Hurt Business, making him totally likely to join his former stablemates Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin who are currently together in AEW’s Hurt Syndicate.
Whether a part of the group or doing something entirely different, Cedric Alexander would be a great free agent signing for AEW.
