8 WWE Title Changes Coming Soon

Share

WWE Men's and Women's Intercontinental Champions Dominik Mysterio and Becky Lynch

With WWE Crown Jewel set for a few weeks away in Perth, Australia, it would seem that there are some title changes on the way.

From long-running champions who may be at risk to others who could find a foe in expected places – there could be some big title feuds coming up this fall.

Here are eight WWE title changes that could be coming soon.

8. Women’s Intercontinental Championship

WWE Women's IC Champion Becky Lynch

The two longest reigning champions on WWE Raw are Dominik Mysterio (over 150 days) and Becky Lynch (over 100 days), both carrying the men’s and women’s Intercontinental Titles respectively.

However, it seems more likely that Lynch will see her reign come to an end first with plenty of ongoing rivalries.

With Lynch having the likes of AJ Lee, Bayley, Nikki Bella, Lyra Valkyria and probably still Natalya in the hunt for a shot at her title – The Man could see her days as champ numbered.

While she could continue to be a powerful force in The Vision faction, perhaps Lynch will lose her title due to the alliance.

7. AAA Mega Championship

Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio at WWE Worlds Collide

Judgment Day’s Dirty Dominik Mysterio currently holds both the WWE Intercontinental Championship as well as the AAA Mega Championship.

Picking up the latter at WWE & AAA Worlds Collide by beating El Hijo del Vikingo, there could be an interesting story brewing.

With WWE fans still awaiting the return to in-ring action from Rey Mysterio, perhaps the call to challenge Dom for the AAA Mega Championship will be too compelling to resist.

Bringing the Mysterio vs Mysterio feud to AAA could give an amazing boost to the promotion that was acquired by WWE in April 2025.

6. Women’s United States Championship

With Giulia getting a manager in the returning Kiana James, she has continued her reign as WWE United States Champion fending off challengers like Zelina Vega and Michin.

However, if Giulia were to drop the title to Chelsea Green on SmackDown, it could also make way for the return of the Secret Hervice with brand new member of the squad – NXT star Ethan Page.

Bringing their enjoyable antics back to the main roster from NXT, a whole new set of feuds is possible, but it could also mean Giulia going on to switch brands.

Since it certainly seems that Asuka is turning heel, perhaps she will be looking for a new partner since it appears Kairi Sane continues to be regretful about Asuka’s bad attitude.

5. NXT North American Championship

At NXT No Mercy, Tavion Heights will have the opportunity to win the NXT North American Championship from Ethan Page and score a victory for America in the process.

With Ethan Page having been notable in his NXT run – including rebranding the North American Championship to reflect his Canadian roots – a title change could signal an impending move up to the main roster.

Already making an amazing pairing with Chelsea Green and the rest of the Secret Hervice (Piper Niven and Alba Fyre), the group could be a powerhouse on the main roster.

With the newly emerging mixed-tag division in WWE – the likes of CM Punk and AJ Lee could go on to have a great rivalry with Green and Page.

4. WWE Women’s Championship

Tiffany Stratton continues to hold the WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown in her first title reign – one that has already made history.

Passing the 260 day mark already, Stratton’s reign is the third longest in WWE history for women behind a 373-day reign of Becky Lynch, and the longest ever, 420 days held by Bianca Belair.

After Stratton initially captured the title by cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase to dethrone Nia Jax – it could be that she drops it back to Jax.

With the planned Wrestlepalooza match being shifted to SmackDown on September 26, Tiffany Stratton will put her title on the line against both Nia Jax and Jade Cargill on SmackDown this coming week.

3. Women’s World Championship

It was confirmed at WWE Wrestlepalooza that the upcoming Crown Jewel premium live event in Perth, Australia will host the annual Crown Jewel Championship matches that debuted last year.

While Stephanie Vaquer just defeated IYO SKY to win the Women’s World Championship at Wrestlepalooza – perhaps her reign isn’t intended to be a long one.

Since it seems that Crown Jewel will become the PLE to feature brand vs brand rivalries, there could be a push to swap the title over to Rhea Ripley.

That would position Rhea Ripley to then have a marquee match at Crown Jewel in Perth against Tiffany Stratton – which could prove to be an opportunity for a one-off dream match that WWE wouldn’t want to miss, especially considering it’s in Ripley’s home country.

2. NXT Championship

After Oba Femi has had a dominant reign throughout most of 2025, his days as NXT Champion could be numbered.

While it would make complete sense to see The Ruler end up being called up to the main roster in the near future, he may drop the NXT Championship before he goes.

Set to face off against fan favorite Ricky Saints at NXT No Mercy on September 27, there could be a title change in store.

However, before that, there is another chance for Femi to potentially drop his title, as he faces Trick Williams in a winner takes all match for both the NXT Championship and the TNA World Championship on this week’s NXT.

1. WWE Tag Team Championship

While the tag team division remains stacked on WWE SmackDown, the Wyatt Sicks recently popped up in AAA.

Perhaps the best fit for an ongoing feud in AAA, it is possible that the duo of Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy will continue to travel between the promotion and WWE.

Unlikely to drop the titles to a AAA team, it would make more sense for instead there to be a SmackDown contender who sneaks by the Wyatts with their priorities distracted.

Potentially a way for the Street Profits to reclaim to the titles or even a segue for the return of the Hardy Boyz in the near future – it could be a shake-up that works out to everyone’s benefit.
