8 WWE Tag Teams Splitting Up

With constant backstabbing and betrayals in WWE, it seems likely that there could be even more tag teams splitting up soon.

From more amicable departures from team action to splits that could be due to full blown betrayals – there are some interesting potential break-ups that could be coming down the road.

Here are 8 WWE tag teams that could be splitting up soon.

8. The Street Profits

With a string of recent disappointments, it is possible that there could be a change coming for the Street Profits.

Potentially able to tell an interesting spin on the traditional tag team break-up – Angelo Dawkins could turn heel first only to shortly thereafter reveal after a short lived feud that Montez Ford has had a change of heart as well.

Committing to a new attitude of anything goes, the duo could possibly recruit others in their pursuit of getting their goals accomplished by any means necessary.

Creating the foundation for a super group, other likeminded individuals could even create a new rebellious stable reminiscent of Degeneration-X and include a powerful female like Bianca Belair, Lash Legend or Jaida Parker and another tag team like Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams.

7. Melo Don’t Miz

Carmelo Hayes continues along on SmackDown but with some fans wondering if he couldn’t be used in a bigger way.

Having most recently lost a bit of momentum when his tag team partner The Miz was away hosting the re-boot of American Gladiators, Hayes is seemingly capable of carrying a bigger role on the blue brand.

Although the pair of The Miz and Carmelo Hayes have recently reunited on-screen, it could be short lived.

With the potential for a split to take Melo in either direction of more heel or more babyface – this could be an important pivot point in his career.

6. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)

It seems as though since making her return to WWE, Asuka has an axe to grind.

However her Kabuki Warriors tag team partner Kairi Sane doesn’t seem to be on the same page with Asuka in regards to intensity – often seeming apologetic after Asuka’s outbursts in backstage segments.

Potentially leading to a split between Asuka and Kairi Sane – Sane could end up rolling with IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley and Asuka going full heel.

In the absence of a deranged character WWE Raw – perhaps Asuka could shift into the space left unoccupied by Naomi’s departure and show off an entirely new and evil side.

5. The Judgment Day – Finn Balor & JD McDonagh

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh continue their reign as WWE World Tag Team Champions on WWE Raw.

However all good things must come to an end someday and it could be that their time is almost up as the top team in the division.

It would stand to reason that whenever the Judgment Day lose their WWE World Tag Team Championship, it could be time for the duo to chase singles acclaim.

With many fans having expected an eventual showdown between Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Championship – perhaps it could be JD McDonagh who ends up taking down Dirty Dom.

4. The Judgment Day – Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez

While perhaps the male members of the Judgment Day can keep their tag team intact a bit longer – the duo of Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez no longer hold gold.

Having lost their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss as well as a bid to reclaim them – the pair seem to be shifting focus.

With Roxanne Perez seemingly set for a potential rivalry with Lyra Valkyria after a conflict while Perez was attempting to strong-arm her way into the WWE Women’s World title match in a backstage segment with Adam Pearce –  Rodriguez seems to be relegated to Perez’s sidekick.

Certainly no one’s sidekick, Raquel Rodriguez could end up turning babyface in advance of the return of Liv Morgan and ditch the Judgment Day for now.

3. The New Day

The team most likely to split but in an amicable way is The New Day’s Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.

With Xavier Woods still on the hunt for his first singles World title – perhaps there could be a split ahead between he and Kofi Kingston.

While the split could be more like a split from action together versus an actual break-up in the vein of the pair dismissing Big E from the group – Kingston has another tag partner already built in.

Big G – Grayson Waller’s self appointed nickname – has been recently rolling with the New Day, bringing his own unique spin on the group’s heel run.

2. Fraxiom

After having a dominant reign as NXT Tag Team Champions, Fraxiom – Nathan Frazer and Axiom – haven’t quite replicated their success.

While they have put on some exceptional matches – the duo have yet to claim a tag team title on the main roster.

With the potential that Nathan Frazer could always link up with his mentor Seth Rollins and join The Vision faction, leaving Axiom behind.

Alternatively, it could be Axiom who ditches Frazer in search of his first singles championship on the main roster.

1. Zaruca

One tag team that could be splitting from NXT is the duo of Sol Ruca and ZARIA.

With one or both of them potentially joining the main roster, it would make sense to see their team break-up before the WWE Draft 2025.

Able to run their break-up storyline more effectively in NXT than on the main roster – perhaps the pair could implode soon.

While ZARIA joined NXT as a frightening presence, it wouldn’t be too shocking if she were the one to turn on Sol Ruca.
