Here are eight WWE stars that could induct John Cena into the WWE Hall of Fame.

8. CM Punk

There are few orators in WWE that can tell as compelling of a story with a live microphone as CM Punk.

As one of John Cena’s most storied rivals throughout his career, Punk would be a solid shout to do the honors of his induction.

Having recently faced off against Punk again in the ring, their rivalry has extended into a brand new WWE era of fans.

While Punk has spoken highly of Cena in the past, it would be a unique moment to hear his homage to Cena for the WWE Hall of Fame.

7. Randy Orton

A shoo-in future Hall of Famer himself, Randy Orton could be a great current star to induct John Cena.

A consistent rival of Cena’s over the years, they have now even had the opportunity to wrestle where Orton is the babyface and Cena is the heel.

Orton could be a hilarious person to induct Cena in moments as well as keep it very serious in others as he could describe their life on the road together as colleagues.

Also liable to go a bit off script, Orton would be a genuinely enjoyable speaker for the event that at least currently is held on Friday night ahead of WrestleMania Saturday.

6. Adam Copeland

A major career rival that could end up being the perfect person to induct John Cena into the WWE Hall of Fame may be Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge in WWE.

Recently paying homage to Cena during his AEW All Out match with Christian Cage against FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood), and later Cena posting a photo of Cope on Instagram – the pair are clearly still on good terms.

While it would have been great to see them tangle in the ring one more time, instead perhaps fans could see their reunion post-retirement for each star.

Copeland has noted that his current contract with AEW ends in October 2026, meaning he would be available by the time WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

5. Kurt Angle

One WWE legend that springs to mind regarding who might induct John Cena into the WWE Hall of Fame is Kurt Angle.

Although the pair went to war on multiple occasions, it was the journey from Cena’s debut in 2002 against Angle to eventually besting him that many fans remember fondly.

While his name frequently comes up as a potential legend to do the induction speech, Angle has his own suggestion.

Angle suggested upcoming WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 inductee Stephanie McMahon to do the honors as a supporter of Cena and the one who discovered him rapping which led to his character shift.

4. The Rock

Bringing his own impressive star power to the affair, The Rock could be the one to induct  John Cena into the WWE Hall of Fame.

While they’ve shared the ring for multiple landmark occasions, it was of course The Rock’s ‘Final Boss’ character that seemingly still has unfinished business with Cena as this farewell tour winds down.

Able to speak to working with Cena not only in the ring but backstage as well, The Rock could also draw upon their shared Hollywood experiences to tell some fun and unique stories.

Able to speak to what it is like to make the jump from WWE to Hollywood stardom, The Rock would have a special take on all of Cena’s accomplishments.

3. Undertaker

A classic legendary star to do the honors of inducting John Cena in the WWE Hall of Fame could definitely be The Undertaker.

With The Undertaker serving as a major locker room leader of the era, he would have a unique take on both working with Cena but also, travelling with him as well.

Able to bring some fun and levity to the proceedings, The Undertaker’s speaking style is compelling enough to keep the crowd engaged.

With the ability to discuss Cena from a rookie in WWE through today’s superstardom, The Undertaker could give a heartfelt speech.

2. Triple H

Arguably one of the biggest inductions into the WWE Hall of Fame thus far, Cena’s ceremony requires a big name.

One potential choice for the role could be current Chief Creative Officer, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque.

There are few that could speak to Cena’s work more than Triple H after having collaborated with him in the ring and later behind the scenes.

While Triple H has previously shared his respect for Cena, it would be intriguing to hear the more personal side of their dynamic in such a big career moment.

1. Group of Make-A-Wish Kids

Although it hasn’t been done before, there could be a group of relative strangers to induct John Cena into the WWE Hall of Fame.

While Cena has had a legendary in-ring career, the work that Cena has contributions to charity – namely the Make-A-Wish Foundation deserve more of a spotlight.

After beginning granting wishes in 2004, Cena broke the Guinness Book World Record for most wishes granted by an individual at over 650 in 2022 – a number that will only get bigger the longer it takes Cena to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Possibly able to demonstrate multiple generations of Cena Make-a-Wish kids speaking to his career of service and what he meant to their journeys.
