8 WWE Babyface Turns Coming Soon

There are some WWE stars that are destined to be bad, however there are others that, try as they might, continue to be beloved by fans.

With some of the roster simply too popular with crowds to continue as heels for much longer, there are a host of choices of stars that could make babyface turns as early as this weekend’s Money in the Bank premium live event.

Here are eight possible babyface turns coming soon.

8. Jacob Fatu

Despite having debuted in WWE as a member of the new Bloodline, Jacob Fatu’s future as a fan favorite has been building from the start.

With his hard hitting action in the ring, unique charisma and genuinely compelling life story outside of his character work on TV – Jacob Fatu has emerged as a babyface.

While he remains affiliated on-screen with Solo Sikoa and by extension JC Mateo, the partnership seems to still be falling apart despite some reconciliation over the past weeks.

With Solo Sikoa in the Money in the Bank ladder match, perhaps we’ll see an interference from Fatu to not only prevent Solo from winning – but to cement Fatu as a babyface.

7. Austin Theory

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller continue to be the tag team that is most successful at booking themselves into precarious matches.

With Theory and Waller having both thrown one another under the bus in recent months, it seems like there will be a straw that breaks the camels back at some point soon.

Perhaps able to emerge from a betrayal with a renewed sense of fan support – or even have a good old fashioned ‘finding his voice’ arc – there is clearly a path ahead for Austin Theory to turn babyface, with the former United States Champion recently earning favourable crowd responses.

Since Theory does have a past with the now heel John Cena, perhaps there will be something for him at the next Saturday Night’s Main Event in his hometown of Atlanta on July 12.

6. Carmelo Hayes

Carmelo Hayes may be positioned as a heel, but he definitely has the capacity to be a babyface, as proven during his time in NXT.

While Hayes has been recently partnered with The Miz in their Melo Don’t Miz tag team, there could be a pivot on the horizon for him.

Still having fan support, Melo could capitalize on his NXT popularity by having him reunite with Trick Williams.

While Trick’s recent heel turn is a hurdle for a babyface reunion, there is a redemption arc for both of them there, with the meaning of their friendship likely being enough to give them a babyface pop.

5. The Creed Brothers

Able to portray both babyface and heel characters, The Creed Brothers have definitely settled into their obnoxious persona in backstage segments.

But honestly – in the ring, their athletic abilities and performance makes it hard not to elicit cheers from the crowd.

With El Grande Americano earning support from fans as well – it could be very amusing to see the Luchador steal away Chad Gable’s faction for his own new babyface group.

While some fans and stars alike continue to allege that El Grande Americano has actually been Chad Gable all along – we’ll have to see what is eventually revealed.

4. Naomi

With fans getting behind her compelling character work despite her dastardly actions, Naomi is in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

If she is to win the match, there will certainly be a thunderous reaction from the crowd who have been thrilled by the fresh performance from the veteran star.

Similarly to Drew McIntyre, Naomi is able to justify her bad behavior in such a way that fans end up being able to see her perspective a little more than they perhaps should.

Pivoting her character from going full escaped prisoner, to more of an unhinged anti-hero vibe could bring her babyface success since fans clearly want to cheer for her.

3. Dominik Mysterio

WWE star Dominik Mysterio

After winning the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 and receiving a thunderous crowd response, Dominik Mysterio remains a compelling WWE character.

Seemingly poised to remain WWE’s most lovable dirtbag for now, perhaps he could slide even further into being a babyface if he were to suffer some betrayal that makes him even more sympathetic.

With Carlito not appearing with the Judgment Day and Finn Balor clearly up to something – a formative turn on Mysterio could be coming as soon as Money in the Bank.

While Mysterio is likely to remain a heel for now, it does seem possible he could be positioned as a babyface by the time SummerSlam comes around.

2. Oba Femi

WWE NXT Champion Oba Femi

The NXT Champion Oba Femi has continued to be positioned as a heel on the show but in actuality – people still love him.

With a catchy entrance and a string of commanding performances, he has earned not only the respect but the adoration of NXT fans.

While it remains speculative who from NXT may be next to be called up to the main roster, should Oba Femi be called up ahead of Money in the Bank 2025 – he should be a babyface.

Able to hold his own against other massive sized heels like Rusev or Big Bronson Reed, Femi could add some meat to the babyface side of WWE Raw.

1. Drew McIntyre

Undeniably respected by WWE fans, even when he was at the height of his heel run against CM Punk – Drew McIntyre was often justified in his actions and words.

Not entirely hated, other characters will try to paint his motivations as delusional but his rationale for his actions do land at times as quite justified.

Able to spark that special quality of being a reluctant babyface by way of anti-authority truth telling, McIntyre could easily continue in a very similar fashion – but pivoting in a way that makes it clear he is a babyface.

Another fine reason to turn him babyface- if there’s no Drew McIntyre versus John Cena rivalry on this farewell tour, it would be a missed opportunity to say the least!
