With WWE Money in the Bank 2025 fast approaching, there are still some fan favorites who remain out of action.
From those who haven’t been seen since WrestleMania to others who have been absent much longer, there are a number of different stars who could make comebacks at the upcoming PLE.
Here are eight returns that could happen at WWE Money in the Bank 2025.
8. Wyatt Sicks

The mysterious faction of Uncle Howdy/Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis & Nikki Cross continues to intrigue fans.
After the Royal Rumble return of Alexa Bliss, it seemed as though the Wyatt Sicks would be introduced as related in some way.
However, an injury to Bo Dallas led to the plans being put on hold, meaning Bliss and the rest of the Wyatt Sicks were also removed from TV.
While the Wyatts have been absent from WWE TV thus far in 2025, it would be great to see them back for a feud ahead of the first-ever two night SummerSlam in August.

7. Roman Reigns

After facing a stunning betrayal from Paul Heyman at WrestleMania 41 – with the latter going on to align with Reigns’ mortal enemy Seth Rollins – Roman did make an appearance on the following night’s Raw after WrestleMania.
However, the show certainly did not end as he expected as after delivering a spear to Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman, he was the victim of a spear of his own.
With the reveal that Bron Breakker had aligned with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman, Reigns was left laying in the ring alongside CM Punk – disrespect that is unlikely to go unanswered by the Tribal Chief.
Although Roman Reigns is not featured on the Money in the Bank 2025 poster, it could make for a surprise return that is even more meaningful.

6. Bronson Reed

With Bronson Reed having been out of action due to injury since Survivor Series: WarGames, it was recently reported that he may be getting closer to returning to WWE.
While a lot of the storyline on the PLE will surround the titular Money in the Bank ladder matches, there will certainly be other matches on the card as well – some that may be of interest to Bronson Reed.
He could find himself interfering in the United States Championship picture, as when he was last seen, he was an ally of the new Bloodline.
Or perhaps the dominating Aussie will end up becoming an obstacle for Jey Uso’s World Title reign or even Dominik Mysterio’s run with the Intercontinental Championship.

5. Matt & Jeff Hardy

While The Hardy Boyz are currently signed to TNA Wrestling until November 2025, there are persistent rumors that the pair could be poised for more appearances in WWE.
The former TNA World Tag Team Champions have appeared on NXT, having well received matches against the team of Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
Since talent continues to be shared between WWE and TNA Wrestling, it would make sense to see Matt and Jeff re-appear even before they’re able to actually re-sign with WWE.
Both known for their iconic work in ladder matche,- it would be pretty epic to see either enter the titular Money in the Bank match, but an appearance in any other capacity would be popular regardless.

4. Bayley

After being attacked backstage ahead of WrestleMania 41 by Becky Lynch, Bayley has not been seen in action.
While Becky continues to feud with Lyra Valkyria, presumably there is still trouble brewing between Lynch and Bayley who would in theory be out for revenge.
Making a big return at Money in the Bank could be a great way for Bayley to deliver some comeuppance to Becky Lynch.
After fan outrage at Bayley being pulled from WrestleMania 41 – despite the eventual reveal of Lynch as her surprise replacement – hopefully there is an intriguing story for her still to be revealed.

3. Paige

Now that she is a free agent, it is more possible than ever that WWE fans could see the return of Paige.
Having competed through the last few years with AEW as Saraya, the former Divas Champion has never ruled out a WWE return.
Since Paige never had chance to compete in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match when she was last in active WWE competition, it would be particularly enjoyable to see her involved.
However, if she were just to make a return appearance at Money in the Bank, it could be a great segue into incorporating her ahead of the much-rumored Evolution 2 PLE reportedly occurring in July.

2. AJ Lee

While ‘Hell Froze Over’ and CM Punk returned to WWE after a decade long absence, his wife AJ Lee has yet to make an appearance.
The former Divas Champion was a fan favorite with many refusing to give up hope that she may someday make a return.
According to Punk, he isn’t giving up hope either – however, AJ remains occupied with other projects including writing and producing.
With Evolution 2 rumored to be occurring on July 12, perhaps there is finally enough reason for AJ Lee to come back to WWE.

1. Omos

Where in the world is Omos? Well, fans know that he is no longer in Japan – after having a successful month of January in Pro Wresting NOAH, Omos relinquished the tag team championship he held in the promotion with comment that he was needed back in WWE.
However, the towering 7’3″ Nigerian has yet to make any return appearances in the company.
After having been absent for over a year in WWE – last seen participating in last year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal ahead of WrestleMania 40 – it isn’t known why Omos is inactive.
Perhaps he could become a surprise spoiler at Money in the Bank since notably his height would be of great benefit to himself – or any ally – attempting to capture the briefcase.
